I was referring to that glorious day in North London.

I'm sure you remember the one, when the scummy twats took stadium emptying to a whole new level.
My mistake; humble apologies. I do indeed remember it well. Berbatov's two missed sitters, Carrick's brilliant pass to Yaya, ginger's red card, Mario's wink. A great day.

Yup. Rodgers goes, it's someone like a Monk, Pardew or Koeman--and maybe it's time to be humble and realistic about this. Unless we become what many of us have perjoratively referred to as an "oil club" or sugar daddy club. Somehow I feel like many LFC fans wouldn't mind that (at least the type of folks that were saying Ibe is better than Sterling, and that are now saying Ibe is completely useless--really, those are the only two options?).
It really annoys me when fans of other clubs (no disrespect to your comment) use the terms "oil club" or "sugar daddies" when referring to the owners of other clubs, ie, City and Chelsea.

The fact that most, if not all, owners of Premier League clubs are multi-millionaires or even billionaires, seems to escape their memories. For example, Liverpool's owners possibly fall into the latter category, as do the owners of Arsenal, Tottingham, Aston Vanilla, Newcastle, Sunderland, etc, etc. That, therefore, makes you a "sugar daddy" club if the owner's wealth is the only criterion. The whole point is that none of them really want to INVEST in the club, despite their riches, as they are there for what they can get out of it. The classic example is a club just outside Manchester, whose name escapes me.

Take your club. A new stand is being built, via a LOAN from the owners, which will have to be repaid. Compare it with the Etihad rebuild, paid for by??? Obviously oil money or our sugar daddy - take your pick.

As you should know as 'istree' is so important to Scousers, you were one of the original 'sugar daddy' clubs... it's how you got successful in the 70's/80's, you've already been there!
