They're still selling tickets for the game against Villa tomorrow and there are thousands of tickets available for their EL game v Sion on Thursday. There are whole blocks virtually unsold for that game, even at £30.

How on earth are they going to fill their new stand at £17k per season for the premium package when they can't sell tickets at £30?

You'll know more than me...is this new stand the type of thing that a club would do if they were trying to make it more appealing to prospective Middle Eastern buyers?
Akin to titivating your own house when you are preparing to sell?
Akin to De Gea signing a new contract to give him a couple of quid extra in his pocket whilst the new contract allows United to sell for a far higher price than recently?

I wonder how long Bodger's shiny new missus will hang around once he gets the boot

They've been talking about building a whole new stadium for years so just building an extension to one stand represents a bit of a come down overall in terms of ambition. But at least they've managed to do it at long last.

It should lead to additional revenue, which will help, but a lot of the new capacity will be high-end corporate and the question I'd have is over the timing. Under normal circumstances you'd have expected them to sell out 24 days before a game but they're still selling tickets 24 hours before a crucial game. People aren't going to be rushing to pay a premium price to watch the mid-table dross they're serving up on the field. They should have built straight after Istanbul.

With the additional TV revenue coming in from next season, that automatically makes them a more attractive proposition. So I suspect that if FSG were going to sell then they wouldn't have built the extension and will probably wait till they get their money back (for the extension loan) in 4 or 5 years time.

You must be mistaken there won't be an empty seat for a great European nights football under the floodlights

I hope they're in the Championship by then.

Owners have determined realistic future is 4/5th to 10th, CL & Europa sometimes, decent cup showings and the odd win and getting hammered by us twice a year min. Wankers. Manager needed that knows how to manage the reality of 2015.
You're not up to speed with our history are you? We've not beaten them twice in a season since 1937.
