Surely Liverpool will look after one of their own.
John Barnes has openly said that he never gets good jobs simply because of his skin colour. Liverpool could do their bit for racial equality, look after a club legend and get a promising young manager in one fell swoop.

Any even half brained manager will deploy Milner as a defensive wide man, just as every manager apart from Rodgers has done in his career, six months aside at Villa when he was 23.
