If he has a 3 year contract and he manages to get that shower in the top 4 in 2 of those years (or top 3 the way the English clubs are performing in Europe) it will be right up there with Moses parting the Red Sea. Ain't going to happen so don't panic. They are a million miles away from being as good as us, Arsenal or, dare I say it, the scum and Chelsea will finish at least 10 points in front of them from where they are now. Like Carragher said we should not be bothered by anything they do.

Lets get it right they signed 1 of our reserve players and made him top earner! Nothing to worry about not 1 of there first 11 would get into our team! They would get 3 in the rags 1 in arsenals and 1 in chelseas years behind!

the inevitable reaction to him becoming manager will be Liverpool winning a few games as they will all be buoyed up....the biggest issue then will be the one facing them all the time, mediocre players and the owners fenway

klopp is not a miracle worker, as proved his last season with Dortmund proved. He could be the answer but will need an extraordinary amount of time being allowed to change it

Not too worried. I reckon personally Klopp had a bit of a perfect storm at Dortmund in 2010/11 and 2011/12 with an amazing bunch of players that perfectly suited his side coinciding with a poor period for Bayern. Not too dissimilar to Rodgers with Liverpool in 2014. I still think he's a good coach and he'll be an improvement on Rodgers if given the backing and time but I don't think he can bridge the gap the Liverpool fans want him to bridge.

The PL experience issue can easily be sorted by having decent support staff that do have that experience. They need a Brian Kidd character, someone who knows English football inside out but who is happy to have a backrow seat. It will be interesting to see what happens with the coaching staff and the infamous transfer committee.

P.S. We are so lucky to have Kidd.

Pity they made the backroom staff the scapegoats for Rodgers' underperformance in the summer and sacked the lot then isn't it? Their current backroom staff haven't been there 4 months yet.

The only thing that will bridge that gap is the sort of money we make and spend on a regular basis, it really is that simple. If Henry and co are banking on those perfect storms to get them back to the top it will fail, because as we saw once the exact conditions of those perfect storms change (clue being in the name) they bounce right back down to where their finances suggest (and often a little worse).

I'm not worried either, their owners want the moon on a stick, but they aren't willing to pay the going rate to get it, he'll improve them certainly, but not enough to challenge at the very top, and he'll not get long enough either in my view, imho, Liverpool need 5 years of rebuilding, and not just of money spending.

Liverpool + Klopp is better than United + LVG and Arsenal + Wenger imo. Perhaps even current Mourinho + Chelsea.

Will turn Benteke and Coutinho into outstanding players, potentially Lovren and Can too.

Could see Liverpool being a force under Klopp, if not necessarily title winners.
