I hate them too. Unfortunately, though, Manchester also benefitted from the slave trade.

The workers of Manchester and Lancashire refused to handle cotton picked by slaves at great personal sacrifice. Most went hungry and Abraham Lincoln took the time to write to them and thanked them for their sacrifice. There is still a statue of Lincoln in Manchester.
In contrast it was reported at the time that more Confederate flags were flown on the banks of the Mersey than in Virginia.

The statue with the out of proportion hand. Have a look in Brasenoze square if you get the chance

I've got a question. Does any liverpool fan believe that if a team like us, bayern, real, barca, psg came in for coutinho, that he would definitely stay?

If we wanted him and he knows it he'd do everything in his power to come here! You can tell everytime he plays us he tries to make a point of how good he is like that pass early on when he looked away before over hitting the pass, oh and he Always scores against us. He's walk over Brocken glass to come here.

More worrying is how did you happen to find it

I was looking for some fan cams of the final and there it was, breaks your heart to see Ron brought so low....

Fair enough. Maybe this website and the museums are incorrect.

Nevertheless, this thread isn't for that discussion. I suppose my original post was more, I hate them for what they are now, not what the people of Liverpool were 150 years ago.

Remember when we played Stoke right after beating them at Wembley and we showed class by not parading the cup 3 days later?

I doubt if we'd lost on Sunday the same grace would have been shown to us.
