Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

Sane flagged offside when on and Jesus scored the rebound and a clear penalty on Sterling not given.
Couldn't tell from back of goal if Sane was on or off, asked a mate who was watching at home he said he was just off, Sterlings penalty shout looked soft from far end so I'll get a look when its on telly if it was a pen.

De Bruyne doesn't need much time on the ball though, he can play in one touch and can rip an entire defense apart like that... if there are options in front of him to play the ball to. Take away one of those options, and the opponent needs to watch one less player, and frees up an extra player to put on the other players they need to watch.
So...we used players of the calibre and quality we've had all season tonight, yet we failed to make one shot on target - something we haven't failed to do in the last 18 months. Are you seriously suggesting this was the result of a single player that should have been on the pitch? I give up.

It was simply they wanted it more than us. No other reason. The tie is dead. All they need to do now is to sit back, defend and then counter. It's all very disappointing especially as we've been billed as this magnificent team to rival Europe's best. I sincerely hope whoever the dippers get in the semis get a fucking thrashing.

Not sure he alone would have made any difference. Players like Silva and KDB etc were under par. Aguero is a lot easier to mark than Jesus.

If you asked who Van Dijk and Lovren would prefer to play against they would choose Jesus all day every day.

Jesus’ link-up play in and around the box is better than Sergio’s and he is more reliable defensively, but in the box he is nowhere near Aguero’s level.

It's not about one player, it's about the consequences that followed. And yes, one player can be a catalyst. Especially if the consequences have a huge impact on your best player. I've yet to see your explanation except "they let us down".

He's a damn sight stronger than Jesus I'm afraid when we did manage to get the ball into the Liverpool penalty area there was no threat at all, I'm hoping he makes next Tuesday.
We never got the ball into a scoring position tonight. Not one ball made it even close enough for a player to get a shot on target. First time in 18 months. How can you suggest a different striker when nobody had any service whatsoever? Have a rerun through the game and tell me where the front man was at fault? Sergio doesn't pick a ball up from midfield and drive at the opposition - never has. He needs a supply line, as any decent striker does.

Saw them both on the box, both Keane and Dixon said he was onside and it was a penalty.

Like I said before - given up on this conversation. Goodnight.

I'll take your word for it mate not much to show for 90 minutes to be honest, poor performance so I wouldn't say we were robbed no good enough on the night, hell of a task to turn it around next week where there's life there's hope.

His goal tally suggests that's not the case, he can hold the ball and not easy to knock off the ball fairly, personally I thought he would have been ideal for tonight. Sadly I couldn't point to a player on our team who wasn't below par except maybe Sterling
But you've just said that we never got close enough to their goal all night - therefore what use would Aguero have been? Do you really think Aguero is gonna pick the ball up from midfield on his own, or just perhaps should our normally reliable midfielders be coming in for a bit of stick tonight? I know who my money's on.
