Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

Fuckin gutted...

I had a feeling of foreboding when I saw Gundog starting. He hardly had a touch & could I fuck tell where he was supposed to be playing.

Credit to LFC, as they did what they do best & yet again we were psyched out at Anfield. It's a mental fortitude on their side & a mental block on ours which can be the only explanation as to why we keep crumbling at their crumbling stadium.

The bin dipping Scouse c8nts followed through on their promise to start the match early by damaging the team bus. What's the betting neither the police nor UEFA do fuck all about it?

As for that linesman, he was fuckin shit. Having said that, tonight we couldn't have hit a cow's arse with a shovel from 2 feet away. I suppose we'll have a punchers chance next week & the energy we've expended will hand ManUre the physical advantage on Saturday.

This was always gonna be a critical 2 weeks in our season. We've won one & lost one, but right now we need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, take a deep breath & redouble our efforts to get the 3 points we need to win the league & try & turn around tonights disaster.

We've got a tough 10 days ahead...

We need to win the league against them. This tie is 95% over so no resting players bullshit. It
Will be a hugely disappointing week if we don’t win on Saturday now.

This tie ain't over. But we can't play like that and I don't think we will.
* edit Can't believe the criticism Laporte is getting, he was the only player we
had in the first half.

Sterling did ok. Sané, Silva, Fernandinho, Kompany, Gundogan and Jesus were awful. KDB was very sloppy, but kept at it. Why didn’t Sané go past the full back? Every time he came inside and squared it. The young full back was their weak link, but was never troubled. Awful, awful performance.

Because he didn't just have the fullback to beat, pool always doubled up on him with a third defender behind them.

Disappointed Bernardo didn't start. Ideal away leg player with perfect close control under pressure. Thought the whole team were very subdued in the first half. Don't like using the term "bottled it" for any City team especially given the amazing season we've had, but that's what it looked like and they need to get that first half out of their system quickly, Saturday is the perfect opportunity.

So ironic that we played Gundogan to be slightly more defensive then concede 3 in the first half

This ones on Pep I'm afraid

Most pissed off that it's dampened the mood forSaturday!

If they score ONE next Tuesday, we need FIVE.

Be honest with yourselves and realize that has very very short odds of happening.

We have too little strength against strong, in your face, teams, and the creative talent to beat 99% of teams. Liverpool attacked our weaknesses and we were unable to attack in the first half, because we had only one outlet, which was quickly double teamed.

Live and learn.
