Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

I have no idea how we could play that badly. Hopefully we're at our best in the 2nd leg.

And the embarrassment continues. We have been outstanding this season. Yes we were poor, yes we were hammered but some of the over reaction on here is a joke. I’m not going to start turning on a team who has given me so much pleasure this season. #loyalty!!

I missed the game due to work commitments.

I suspected we would lose but it’s a bit of a shock we lost by such a scoreline.

Klopp seems to be the only manager in the game who can outthink Pep on a consistent basis. He must have a great head-to-head record against him.

Back to the game, can someone please summarise tonight’s match for me, please?

Were we really that bad?
Who impressed and who didn’t?
Was the scoreline an accurate reflection of the game?

A Scouse mate who was on the Kop tonight text me (back) after the game.

He said “once the crowd gets going it’s priceless”.

We all agreed that we were the difference against United at Wembley in 2011.

Serious question, why do we rarely do what their fans did tonight? And I don’t mean the coach bit.
Like I said, I predict a reaction. Come on.

Absolutely embarrassing. Not even a shot on target. Just goes to show that we aren't as good as some people think.

I think we are, but pschologically there is just too much pressure being felt by the team to win the CL.

It’s exactly the same with PSG, unless one of us wins it we will be seen to have failed badly.

That performance was PSG against Barca all over again but with a different scoreline.

See this is why i am fuming. Klopp does not have a fucking plan b.....he goes for it at home every fucking game, to score early goals and then they revert to type and fall deep. It isnt fucking rocket science to see that or work it out. The majority of us on here fucking predicted it

They play one way and we just allowed it to happen, we rolled over again providing stupid mistakes and off passes to let them rampage up field and score

So why the hell did we not just control the game for the first 30 mins to just keep possession and frustrate them.

I wanted us to go through and win this competition, tha5 first half has highlighted to me that the pkayers have a long way to go to proving they have the ability to do it

That starts in the return leg

This this and this.... was obvious what they'd do, how they'd set up. And we walked right into it, Again. We've had a great season despite tonight. But at times we're fuckin stupid. It's a flaw of Pep, which has shown up before. you'd hope he would learn from experiences like tonight.

People ignoring the biased officiating. The first goal gets correctly flagged for offside and the game is completely different.

We then have an onside Goal Disallowed... these are fine margins but absolutely critical In the context of the tie.
