Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

I'm not even remotely surprised. I've said it to all my Liverpool glory wanker mates since we drew them, that they'd dick us at Anfield. It was never on and reading the optimism on here became nauseating because of how fucking predictable and inevitable it was.

I didn't understand why we started Gundogan, but even so why were we overwhelmed again in the 1st half? They just gave it everything and we did not have enough to beat them.

Gutted. This defeat has soured the season. I doubt these players will get a chance like that again.

Liverpool were superb. Give them credit.

I think Guardiola bottled it a bit by dropping Sterling and putting Gundogan in. If he was planning on countering Liverpool's midfield, then should have used Delph.
Winning the Title soured ? FFS

This this and this.... was obvious what they'd do, how they'd set up. And we walked right into it, Again. We've had a great season despite tonight. But at times we're fuckin stupid. It's a flaw of Pep, which has shown up before. you'd hope he would learn from experiences like tonight.

I don't know what it is with technical (not tactical) managers and this flaw. Its like Pellegrini all over again, they can clearly see the trap but they charge right into it. Wenger has the same flaw

Our defence still needs work.

Only buying one left-back has come back to bite us. Deciding not to get a Mahrez/Sanchez has come back to bite us.

Walker, Gundogan and Sané were embarrassing today.
We could have played Sterling. We chose not to. Guardiola must regret that

So 4-2-4 for the return leg or stick with 4-3-3?

Pep won't change his philosophy - no matter who we are playing!

After the mullering in the league, I thought that some effort would be made to bottle up the game a little and keep the first half scoreless. But this is City, and we never have done stuff the easy (or sensible!) way.

And the embarrassment continues. We have been outstanding this season. Yes we were poor, yes we were hammered but some of the over reaction on here is a joke. I’m not going to start turning on a team who has given me so much pleasure this season. #loyalty!!

There has been problems with the site. Think we have our usual fair share of interlopers. I know some are disappointed City fans, but
i think a few are rags stirring the hornets nest.

Sergio a big miss and to play Gundagon was a huge mistake.
Not to take him off earlier was a poor decision as well.
Walker has struggled in a few champions league games as well.Another tonight.

People ignoring the biased officiating. The first goal gets correctly flagged for offside and the game is completely different.

We then have an onside Goal Disallowed... these are fine margins but absolutely critical In the context of the tie.
If you're right about that (didn't see the game), that's huge. A 2-1 away defeat's a decent position to be in whereas 3-0 is significantly less decent.
