Maybe next year we’ll win there...
No. Not with Pep in charge.
Maybe next year we’ll win there...
We hardly ever turn up at Anfield. I've enjoyed us winning twice there in my lifetime. It has to be psychological at this stage; we're beaten before the game starts. And I foolishly believed that tonight would be different. More the fool me.Didn't show up at anfield once again. We have to back city next week and get them over the line. A game of two halfs..we are at home and we will win the game.
I think we as fans, and the hierarchy at the club may well have to bite the bullet and accept that we don’t have a manager capable of winning this competition without a Messi in the side.
Personally, whilst disappointed at the probability of going out with a whimper again, I’m happy enough with the league and league cup this season. As I was when Pelligrini won it in his first season.
But if we want to be a European player we have to accept we are currently miles away with our thinking and our whole psychology as a team and a club.
At elite level we are a million miles away from competing. We’re a Seville or a Roma.
I’m not that bothered about Europe myself but I reckon the higher ups are. Yet more changes needed in the summer to get us to the level we are aiming at. We’re no closer now than we were shortly after the takeover.
What is shameful and frustrating is that Liverpool are nowhere near as good as we are but they were set up to win tonight. Pep was out-thought and out-tacticed yet again by Klopp on the big stage.
We’ve looked great against domestic opposition this year but we haven’t progressed on the big stage one iota.
That’s a very valid point. If VAR was used the game would have ended 2-2 but it's not used for the biggest competition in club football, I wonder why
I understand the disappointment but turning on a team and manager now seems utterly utterly churlish.Bang on. Time to remember what City fans are about. Too many have forgotten/ never knew.
