Liverpool v City - post match thread

Shite performance all round, players looked hung over, a Liverpool backlash was so predictable. Would happily swap the League Cup for a reverse of our two league results.

Its only 32 but who's counting.

Totally unacceptable but quite predictable with a manager whose time is long gone in a league the premier league and a squad that is well past its use by date.

I said at the start of the season we wouldn't finish top 4 , I said it again after we won the first 5 games and you all welcome to get on the band wagon now.

What is different from last year is that all our key players are a year older and the game is passing them by and it happens much quicker now than ever before.

Unless you can run, press , are physical on and off the ball and play as a team in attack and defence you come up well short in games as we have time and again this season and there are still 11 games to go with no sign this group led by a rudderless management group will improve their work rate , attitude , game style etc.

Just imagine if we had this squad and this manager in charge for next season.

Seriously we would be candidates for relegation.
 
Think the only players that could play how pep wants would be

Kun, KDB, dinho, Kompany, Ota and obviously we'd keep Hart. Silva potentially could but only if he regains form, same applies to Nasri. The rest just don't cut it and it's scary how much of a big overhaul we need. What a terrible last few years we've had in the transfer market.
 
City almost pulled one back before half time and it looked very likely City would be the next to score, what was needed was a little patience, what happened was suicide.

At least with us without Europe to concern ourselves with next year Bob and that includes Europa I hope because quite frankly we don't deserve to be in either comp next year we can focus on three more at home.
