Liverpool v City - post match thread

The difference -
Serial killer managed Sturridge and Coutinho properly and rested them while Pelle played kun and Silva even though we had an option with Bony and Nacho.

Numbers over time don't lie and the commentator didn't tonight. 18 league games and 26 points. That says it all for me regardless of our progress in the cups. We have been regressing in the league and now have only blind hope that we'll string enough positive results in the league though recent evidence certainly doesn't support that. It was a massive night, last night, an opportunity to spring board but we failed to even get out of the starting blocks. We're looking over our shoulder now probably more than what's above us, I just hope we can win enough away games to stay in the top four.

That's a good call, no doubt we probably see that on Saturday vs Villa.

Cooled down a little but still very disappointed
We were completely out worked
It could be desire
It could be exhaustion
It could be poor tactics
It could be injuries ( leading to the exhaustion)
It could be lack of cohesion
It's the combination of all of it
To have the Managerial announcement mid season sure as hell cant help
Aside from the injured it doesn't look like many players either want or expect to be here next year
Strange days

Think Bony got it spot on. Nothing to do with tiredness just started badly and never found our game. Trouble is we have 'lost our game' on too many occasions in the last two seasons.

No worries Pep has a history of having better eyesight then his counterpart and doesn't understand what the word typical means.

Many of them won't be , expect some big names that some would think despite their contract to be gone in the summer.

Remember MP was only a transition manager to keep things calm as they say but he should have gone last season , he really isn't cut out for the premiership to be perfectly blunt.

The next manager after Pep will really give us some exciting times as well.

Makes my blood boil when the pundits and media keep banging on that we've got the strongest squad. Only City fans know the real deal and have done for ages. We have the most "overrated " squad but clearly no where near the best.

Predictable attacking play week in week out then what else can we expect. We take pride in having the best academy set up but what to do of such academy if we dont want to utilize it once we need it, it is apparent that 2 in midfield dont work against pool but yet we opted for it, why? Because of injuries, so in such situation we should have had a academy lad who could play that role rather than taking a suicidal road to certain defeat, we made lallana look like xavi ffs. Since we dont give any first team chances so we had no one to play in CM
