We shouldn't be dismissing it though, no matter what else. Like I say, win or lose tonight, the league is exactly the same. Passing a la Barcelona is only good if there is someone who is willing to take the ball forward and shoot..Even at 93rd minute we were passing around in our half instead of trying to find a way to break through...Are the players afraid to take the risk for fear of giving the ball away??
If Silva is determined to only make passes (and I'm not complaining) and not make any attempts to shoot at goal, then Nasri or Aguero should accept the responsibility to take the ball forward and shoot..Nasri was non-existent today, but the same was the case for almost everyone in the team, except for Joe Hart
And how come nobody was willing to shoot from long-range? All game, I can remember only 2 attempts. One was De Jong which was the first goal, and the other was Barry which was way off-target.. Surely if their defense was packed, this would have one of the few options available?
Anyway credit to Liverpool for wanting it more and winning it, but that was not a fooking penalty, however way you look at it..but what's done is done.
Mancini, lets just concentrate on the Premier League from now on, and make sure the Rags don't catch up, all right? We'll get our chances for these other cups next season..
