Johnson didn’t build any consensus? He withdrew the whip from every conservative that disagreed with him and replaced them with a selection of the shittest people ever to get elected to office in this country.

Correct - but once that was done and he won his election all those MPs agreed they were best of doing what BJ wanted. They were very loyal right up to the point the dam burst.

If you ignore the events of his demise there was very little push back on BJ and his policy. LT has had way more already in the weeks she has been in office.

I think if Rishi Sunak would of been Richard sumner this thread would of been 8 pages long at most, totally sums up the Tory membership. He had the majority of mp’s backing him but the Tory members shown their true colours. The middle England tories would never vote for an ethnic Asian as opposed to a middle class white woman. She was always nailed on unfortunately but 81000 voters have got this country the biggest most useless woman imagineable and now everyone has to suffer as if we aren’t enough
