I never said I don't trust this manager because he hasn't picked him. I said generally I don't trust a lot of managers to accurately judge how good a young player is, especially one on loan. Maybe playing him less is the right decision.I haven't seen him play for Boro....but not trusting a manager because he doesn't pick him is daft.....maybe the 'new manager' is a better manager/coach and playing him less is the right decision?
JSP.....maybe he's played 90mins in each of the last 3, because the German club have similar CB injuries as we have? I don't know, but I don't think he was loaned by Celtic to be a starter....and if those in front play well enough, he won't get minutes....the SPL don't squad rotate like the PL either.
I think City need to be a bit more aware of potential playing time, before loaning....but no doubt, some don't play, because outside VERY GOOD City youth teams, when they need to step up, they haven't 'got it'....that's part of City finding out if they will ever make it.
However, we did loan him to a team managed by Rob Edwards, who plays a certain way and it's possible that the new manager doesn't like Nypan as he doesn't suit his style of play. Or a personality clash. There loads of examples of young players not being played or having bad loan spell going to have great careers. So obviously the talent was there, but the manager couldn't get it out of them.
I think Koln do have injuries at CB, but still to trust JSP to play in the bundesliga which is a much higher level than the scottish league indicates that he is rated differently by different managers, which might be happening to Nypan. Why wouldn't a team in the SPL rotate though?
Agree on the last point, which is why I think Nypan should be recalled and sent somewhere else.
