Long weekend in Istanbul at end of May - Turkey on Govt Red List

I am planning on flying direct to Istanbul, then to Manchester (hopefully take the grandkids to the parade) and then fly back to Tampa or Orlando on the Tuesday.
How would anyone at the airport know if I had not quarrentined for 10 days?
“Hello mr nice man,
Have you done your quarantine ?”

“Oh Yes”

“Ok Mr nice man, on you go”

Not sure that’s how it works tbh!

my wife just got a new passport yesterday - it took less than a week. They are saying 10 weeks but its clearly bobbins
Lovely stuff cheers pal, Ill apply for one tomorrow and hopefully with abit of luck it’ll get here in time

They'll see from your passport that you entered the country on day X and then you're trying to leave on day Y. Not sure whether they'll do anything about it but I think they certainly could.

There is a chance Turkey could go on the green list if they get their daily cases to average 14k or below. It was 26.5k today but lockdown impact won't be visible yet.
The issue is that the country will still be in lockdown when the traffic light system is announced. If, by some great progress, they make the green list then it will be very late in the day and potentially leaving people with little or no time to sort anything out. I'm mentally preparing for a spell of quarantine.

Agreed. I think people should assume it's amber and if it's not then that's a bonus. Realistically, if it changes to green I think it will only be in the final week before we go, which will be too late for most (unless there are tickets left).

Any chance the final gets moved to the UK if Chelsea go through tonight?

makes sense for both clubs and fans, but as we know uefa don’t usually tend to take either into consideration

Just note, the current lock down, which includes a curfew, DOES NOT APPLY TO TOURISTS.

Yes, there may/will be limited bars to watch the game in. But all indicators are there will be places open showing the match (think hotel bars)
Currently no bars or restaurants are open in Istanbul or Ankara. I am in Ankara so I will try my luck on the night but there is zero chance of watching in a bar if the current restrictions remain.
