Looking back, how do you feel about Hughes now?

MH did a sterling job, but if you judge his attitude and then check roberto mancs after we conceeded ONE goal, it seems like only great is great to manc, good it at times not good , only the best will do, hes not fearful of any of the so called super stars either, WHAT A BREATH of fresh air,

THE KING IS DEAD , LONG LIVE THE KING.

My thoughts on him are he did the best he could and bought us a few quality players. Unfortunatly his best was not good enough for where we want to be as a club.

Hughes can take a lot of credit for where we are, he just wasnt good enough to take us the extra mile.

Its Hughes's team thats in fourth place right now, just playing better under better management.

No its Mancini's team. Just as I never bought the 'Its Sven's team that Hughes had to manage last season' bollocks I don't buy it under Mancini. The team that goes out for 90 minutes on matchday is the responsibility of the man in charge. They follow his instructions born out of training sessions under his control.

One thing I like (amongst many) is that Mancini understands that it is his responsibility to get the best out of what he has (which at the moment is a bit of a patched up affair) and he does so with assured self confidence.

And taking resonsibility is one of the biggest differences between Mancini and Hughes.

exactly that, and we did treat him terribly at the end

Bullshit. If they guy had plucked more Kompany's and Zaba's out (good players for small fee's) and we were in 4th then yea, fair enough. But he spent £200 million for fucks sake. How do you not have a good squad when you take a team that's finished 8th (or whatever it wa sunder Sven) then add £200 million worth of talent? The question is, did we get our moneys worth? £57 million on Lescott, Toure and RSC will give you your answer

Hughes deserves no or very little credit for his time at City. Blues fans need to wake up and realise that. It's just a good job we got rid rite before he was about to do the club a lot of damage

Some harsh posts on here.
He did a good job but not a great job.
Give him 4 years and another 200 million he may have won us the title.
I think it will come quicker and cheaper with RM.
Defence was the problem. I am interested to see what RM can get out of Lescott and Toure.
I think they may well be the best in the league. Lets face it VC and Micah look good at the moment.
As I said Hughes did a good job but not great.

hughes built an incredible squad. he could buy the players but he couldn't lead them.

Ive just looked back at our games and all them games we drew and was ahead we should have been 8 or 10 points better off now then we are. Now i wasent a hughes outer but if this guy was in at the start we might have been top now. Insights a wonderfull thing
