Singing the blues, You need help you are full of hate and anger. Let is go and feel the blue love and welcome all our new brothers and sisters into our family. I promise you if you dont you will end up being bitter and twisted.

wont be saying that if they price you out / stop you from seeing city

Bluebana, so what do we do man stand still close the door, shut up shop . We have only just started to fill the staduim because of our success. If it wasnt for the so called tourists on european nights the stadium would be empty. So by your logic how do we compete and carry on with FFP if we dont have the new fans to help generate income. Have collection buckets at each game or would the owners have to put up the price of tickets. Think about it.

the fanbase is already there, we got a full stadium in our first year in the new ground. There are plenty of mancunians and fans that have always been there, its all about pricing and being able to keep the core fanbase that weve always had. You only have to look at teams like chelsea- ten years ago had one of the best home grounds in the league ie atmosphere now most of that fanbase has gone, same with united they had great fans about 15/20 years back now they have mainly all been replaced- mainly due to pricing.

Haha, hateful's a touch far.

You want honesty?

There's an element of resentment, besides the kids growing up knowing nothing but a successful City, what right does an adult have to suddenly decide to start attending games which bear the attendance of MCFC now that we're 'glamorous' and an attractive proposition to these people?

Those same people couldn't give a flying fuck about us a matter of years ago.

Anyone who has ever had the misfortune of sitting up in the 3rd tier will tell you what it's like, it's a fucking circus. Isolated spots resembling much ridiculed parts of Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.

Take for example the following; I had a workmate in 2008 who approached me when he found out I was a blue, he tried a little small talk, his enthusiasm for City, season ticket holder, future looks good etc. I found out later from another workmate that a month earlier he had no previous allegiances (whatsoever) to City, but decided in haste to buy a season ticket following the takeover and the deadline day capture of Robinho. A 19 year old man - not a gullible, impressionable child, but a grown man.

These people exist, we all like to convince ourselves they don't but they do, and maybe some are happy to welcome them with open arms, but I'm not.

Castigate me for my honesty by all means.

if anyone believes he will continue to see the kind of players who are playing at City continuing to pay what they paid when quality was totally different is seriously deluded.

I won't castigate you mate, this is obviously a bit of a sore point for you, but I've got to say "So what? So f*cking what?"

Why do you let these things fill you with such anger? F*ck it man, enjoy the match, enjoy the success, ignore the groups of tarts in the 3rd tier if you don't like them or how they watch the match. There are plenty of things in life that happen that are completely out of your control, you've just got to deal with it as best you can, but if you let these things get to you you'll f*cking explode man.

Nah I know mate, in the grand scheme of things, relatively speaking it's not a big deal, but it's a topic I care about. Maybe I should care less, but when the prices of individual tickets are shooting up year on year, it's these characters who'll be filling those non-seasoncard seats, while genuine blues who can't afford to attend regularly are forced to attended even less frequently due to cost - a good mate of mine is in this position. When that becomes the norm our atmosphere will begin to go the way of the swamp, the Emirates, Stamford Bridge et al.

Personally, I'm alright at present, I'm flanked by regulars on all sides so I'm immune to the daytripper/plastic contingent at the moment. I just hope it stays that way.

Also, as a side issue, but still relevant to the topic. A lot of people highlight the loyalty point system as an insurance policy, but if you look at the amount of balloons who got hold of tickets for major away games last year, you have to wonder how they're getting hold of tickets ahead of blues.

City recognise there's that market now, so the allocations handed to corporate hospitality are going up year on year, and that includes away fixtures - hence tickets selling out at surprisingly high points.

That reason alone is enough to be resentful of these overnight 'blues'.
