What a lot of people think? Actually its a very small minority who have said anything to me. Some have been negative and some positive.

Mostly its those who can only see in black and white who have made up complete fabrications about me. St Helen's Blue being one and bluebannana being another. The latter being someone who portrays every single local City fan who went prior to 08 as being poverty stricken working class types.

I would have gone through relegation again if my relationship with the fans at Ewood wasn't so bad. I didn't say they were all scumbags. Maybe just 95% of them.

The one thing City fans can learn from Rovers fans is how not to treat a guy who invests millions into your club. That won't happen here anyway because City fans are better people than Rovers fans in every respect.

What about all the fans across Greater Manchester who support City then? Why don't they support Stockport, Rochdale, etc then. A lot should judging by the unwritten rules you steadfastly adhere to.

Vinjay. I have said my piece and another poster summed it up perfectly. Why not choose Bury,Bolton,Blackburn,Wigan,Preston,Blackpool?? No you chose City because you knew what was round the corner...

I've spent enough time ranting about those people. The sooner I get out of that town away from them the better my life will be.

Unless people decide to stop making up complete fabrications (points I've made in the past completely ignored) there's no point in having this debate. Made a mistake commenting in the first place and I'll probably made that error again in a couple of months. The fact is I'm staying and will be as long as City fans have my respect. Which means I'll probably still be on this site if it exists many years from now. Which by the way if you asked me in 2006 (BEFORE the takeover I may add) which fans I liked and respected the most the answer would have been Manchester City. Shared hatred of United was part of the reason but its not like I have the same respect for Liverpool or Leeds fans.

So, seen as we're having this little discussion where I am questioning your outrageous belief that 95% of Blackburn fans are scumbags, why can't you answer it?

I just find it hard to believe that many City fans who have experienced the high and the lows (on a regular basis) will give you the respect you want from them when you have labelled pretty much the entire fanbase, of a club you claim to have loyally supported for decades, as scumbags, and decided to switch allegiances.

Bluebana, so what do we do man stand still close the door, shut up shop . We have only just started to fill the staduim because of our success. If it wasnt for the so called tourists on european nights the stadium would be empty. So by your logic how do we compete and carry on with FFP if we dont have the new fans to help generate income. Have collection buckets at each game or would the owners have to put up the price of tickets. Think about it.

the fanbase is already there, we got a full stadium in our first year in the new ground. There are plenty of mancunians and fans that have always been there, its all about pricing and being able to keep the core fanbase that weve always had. You only have to look at teams like chelsea- ten years ago had one of the best home grounds in the league ie atmosphere now most of that fanbase has gone, same with united they had great fans about 15/20 years back now they have mainly all been replaced- mainly due to pricing.

We didnt have a full stadium in the first year, we couldnt even fill it for the very first game, although it was against some welsh minnows and it wasnt filled during the Pearce era. its only recently we have been able to fill the stadium due to the success of winning silverware.

I hate to admit this, but before this, the only game we could gaurantee a full stadia was when we played the rags.

But putting this to one side and concentrating on your and others fear and phobia of new fans or as you call them glory hunters.

Manchester turned out 200,000 to support the open bus parade. What do you class the 153,000 as? Because some of the logic on here they had no right to be there and there should have been only 47000 proper fans?

You still have not answered my question. If we were to ban all new fans from supporting city how do we generate extra income. Or are you saying its ok for so called glory hunters to spend all their money on city merchandice as long as they dont visit the stadium.

i never said anywhere ban all new fans ?????? you could gernerte extra income by getting better sponsorship deals ie liverpool and uniteds currently generate way more money then we do i think ( soz if im wrong). Second would be advertising better advertising deals. Cut wages- get expensive earners of the wage bill like we did with adebayor- plenty of areas you could generate more income in.

ha ha, glory hunter. You would say the whole its not black and white - because your a glory hunter, but you ditched your team when the going got tough and chose a team for glory, you arent a proper fan.

And no I dont portay every city in that way :D plenty of people I know are well off and good earners. its a fact that a lot of city fans are working class though/ had a working class background like myself, I admit I may get carried away sometimes, but its just cos Im passionate about the subject and supporters interest. I only mention that in relevant threads ie pricing. Go and support blackburn

Business dont just sponsour a football club for the fun of it, they do it so its helps sell their brand and you just cant cut someones wages they have a contract. Sorry mate but whatever way you look at it we need new investment and that is new fans.

some good comments there to be fair. We could increase revenue in other ways as mentioned, but am kinda seeing your arguement of needing more fans for more money. This thread is getting mad :)
