Love At First Sight?

I presume/hope he's joking, but you can see why female posters get pissed off with some of the casual misogyny on here.
I know.

And some of the male posters get pissed off with it too.

I mentioned the misogyny issue on the Keyboard Warrior thread.

Christ of course it's a joke. Now excuse me I'm off to iron my pretty little WI uniform ready for the cake sale on Saturday

Without wishing to besmirch the legend of GSC, he'd often use that term and even had a forum renamed on his passing after his parody of Joseph Fritzills cellar.
Seriously, you can't have it every which way you'd like. If you're being seriously affected by an Internet forum then I fear for your chances of survival in the outside.
99.9% of us on here for the same reason and gender, race and religion or politics it ain't.

Let me tell you about myself...I'm 42 and never been in love including the mother of my children whom I got pregnant two weeks into our relationship

I always thought love was a myth...the love you can have between adults anyway...I love my children unconditionally

I've been single for around 22 months now (Since I split from my boys mum) and have been playing the field somewhat...but 9 days ago I met a woman that has completely blown me away

She is beautiful...on the inside and out and the minute I met her I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her...for a man that has never experienced love it's knocked me for six

I've deleted my 'black book' and cannot stop thinking about her

The mad thing is...she feels the same about me

Never EVER thought i'd fall in love...never mind at first sight

It's a fucking amazing feeling

Anyone experienced anything similar?

I promise you now I'm marrying this woman in the future and i've never even been engaged in my life

Sorry for the soppy thread...just need to tell anyone...Want to shout it from the rooftops if i'm honest

its good to have a light thread for a change as per you,the best thing for you is she feels the same way, so go for it man ,it will turn out to be a great experience for you hopefully :)

Back on thread. I met Mrs Rep in 1976, took her out in June 1977, got married in September 1979 and still with her.

I followed her about like a moonstruck puppy for most of the time since and she has done the same with me. It's different than it was at first because you all change as you get older but inside, we still feel the same.

Good luck to you mate, it sometimes does work out if you put the effort in

I met the soon to be Mrs A when I was age 46 after a failed tilt or two at the windmill... It's a grand thing to fall in love for the first time when older.. you appreciate it is the best of things. Also, she loves City... although she sings all the songs in tune, so ruins it for the rest of us.

Have to say it's the one thing I can't handle here, some of the mysoginy on here is awful. No wonder some people can't get a decent relationship going. The casual attitude to sexual assault ie almost jokey attitude to rape is bloody awful.

I have never understood the fact that some men think 1 man in a million getting wrongly convicted of rape after a false accusation is a more serious issue than a million men getting away with it.

Heartwarming - getting close to 20 years with my Mrs but a long way to go to catch you up.

Had a date lined up with a girl I was starting to like. She messaged bout half hour ago cancelling saying that she has just starting getting serious with another guy. Can't catch a break.

Goodness, what a welcome oasis in the barren desert of the pogba and kdb threads. Romance! Joy! happiness!...

The tingling of the hairs on the back of your neck when she enters the room, the distant spark of a snatched glance across a crowded function, the instant racing of the heart when you wake next to her sensual, sleeping body...

Any news on the back doors yet?

No as Ian Bishops Haircut has decided he is a gentleman, he's not even posted any pics, outrageous.

IBH where did you even meet the said love of your life?

Your pain is evident for all to see Magicpants and a tear rolls gently down my curvaceous cheek as if in sympathy to that noble cause.
Love can be forever if you constantly work to create the ambience fire and spark that originally ignited deep inside your loin at your first gaze into the myriadal pool of his/her eyes. It takes effort to maintain this chemistry, never stop being diligent and always to the back of your mind remember the bitter taste of loneliness.

In six months you will be miserable as fuck, crying into your pillow while she is out being dry bummed by some little twat in cut off jeans, canvas slip-ons and an Olly Murs hair do, otherwise known as "out with the girls".

In twelve months you will be staring longingly at the ceiling beam, wondering if it could bear your weight because she has just fucked you off for a totally different little twat in cut off jeans, canvas slip-ons and an Olly Murs hair do.

In 18 months you will be a social pariah, sat alone in your living room wanking to a picture of her using your tears as lube, because all the friends you didn't bother with while you were "in love" are sick and tired of you bringing them down by sniveling about how much you love her.

In 2 years you will genuinely wonder what you ever saw in the chunky, vacuous woman and will have nothing but regret for the 2 years of your life you pissed away while you deluded yourself.

A wise man once said "Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment".
Save yourself the misery, stay single, all relationships are doomed, people only stay together for 3 reasons, fear of being alone, lack of options or habit.
The world is a clopper buffet, dig in.
