Love Island 2019

I feel sorry for today’s society that these absolute VALVES are looked up to and young boys and girls are aspiring to be like them. The really sad part is these young people are being exploited.

Sure you get 11 months of fame, free clothes, free bar bills and getting fingered by / tag teaming alongside the Repugnant Wayne Lineker at O Beach...But at what cost?

After that year there’s a whole host of new vapid hopefuls queuing up to replace you. Now, at that point you’ve probably made a few quid so the work drying up won’t hit you too hard, but sixth months on your inevitable coke habit, eating/ drinking at posh places is starting to take its toll. It takes someone with a lot of steel to go back to a 9-5 and frankly I can see why that would be hard for someone to stoop to in their early 20’s after being “famous”. I can see quite easily while a lot of these reality stars lives fall apart.

Good post.

I think a major issue is they just expect fame fame fame and to be in constant supply of money.

Sure that will come but it quickly dry up as you say and once the inevitable scrabbling around for easy work happens, it must seriously difficult to return to “reality”.

From what i remember Sophie went straight back to her life wheras "muggy" mike went on other reality shows,he never seemed happy from the start, searching for something is the impression i used to get about him

Should be called Fantasy False Island. Utter tripe but seems the youth love this Fantasy false island tripe.

I haven’t gone through the experience but imagine to some it must feel like being washed up.

They go from not known to celebrity, back to not known so quickly.

Mad how today's youth value the people on Love Island a lot higher than a Surgeon who saves people's lives or a fireman who goes into a burning down building to protect a family. We are officially living in a Kim Kardashian society where if you haven't got a few Mls in your top/bottom lip or Botox injected into your forehead you won't fit in today's society! Sad really...

That's a raging generalisation

True - the same can be said about footballers. I love city and football but am I supposed to see twats like “JLINGZ” as some kind of role superior citizen?!
