Loyalty Point System

what a load of shit.why shouldnt you get points for a european away game.costs more to go to,time off work etc, etc.if your that way inclined you could sell on any away ticket if you wanted.only since weve got to a semi, and a final has anyone started kicking up a fuss about loyalty points.didnt sell out in one european away this year, not had a full house for any cup game at home.
before the points scheme, you had to go and queue up for aways and cup finals.the only preference was if you were regular st holder down to 1st year st holder.didnt matter how many aways you went to,until you had to start keeping your ticket stubs from the aways.

Can somebody please tell me how many loyalty points you get for the following:

1x season card (not the 1st year)
1x FA Cup scheme (where can I find out about what this includes and how much it costs?)
Premiership away games
European away games

Are there other ways to earn points?

Just trying to figure out how I'm going to get my points total above 3500 by this time next year.

Thanks in advance!

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned in the thread already, but read a post last night (cash points I think) that talked about a top up card, like the ones used at schalk, where you purchase food and drinks at the games and stuff in the store with them without using cash..

I can see a time where if we was to use them, then you would get loyalty points based on what you spend. Say 1 point for every tenner... if the club measure loyalty by the amount of money spent (as some have suggested on the thread,) then this may well be the future...

But back to the immediate topic, I have high 5k points and do not go to many away games or cup games as I used to, I wouldn’t have a problem if the points was on a rolling system, or if you got more for the cup games, maybe a incentive for me to take that extra time away from work and the family to get to the match more if I knew I may not get a final ticket.

Would also not have a problem with those who commit to the cup scheme getting 1st goes at the cup tickets, but that may fall down if next year 26k go on the cup scheme and still only get 25k final tickets. Still going to be 1k without tickets...
suppose you could then go to how many loyalty points you have as to who gets tickets from those on the CDS...

But think the club got it spot on this year, rewarding us long suffering fans... maybe went a bit wrong with offering kids without the points tickets as there are probably a few hundred 3 or 4 year regulars missing out due to kids with 2 or 3 years ST going with their mums and dads..

Keep a loyalty system but offer bigger incentives. 100 for away games 200 for cup games at home etc. Yes it is a big increase in points but it will stop those on high points picking a choosin as some are now doing as they think their is know way of "Catch Up" but the younger fans to catch up and show their loyalty

There is not much wrong with the current loyalty point system.

Unfortunately, some fans will miss out and will feel aggrieved but such is life, the only way to rack up points is go to the games.

Loyalty doesn't start this season or last and as such, to start a rolling system knocking off points while you accumulate more is daft IMO.

Why should points from 10 years ago, when we were shit, be replaced by points next season, when we are good?

I understand about younger fans, but if you really want to rack the points up, it is quite easy

^^^^^^^^ this.
Why can`t people grasp the simple fact that - turn up and watch a match - get loyalty points?.
I`m sick of people bleating on about "deserving" a wembley ticket. If you had attempted a few games you would have the points.
Why should someone who hasn`t been to a game this season get a final ticket before someone who has been to every league game home and away, & cup (domestic & european) home and away?
The loyalty point system, as it is, is by far the fairest way of distributing tickets. If you needed the points why didn`t you go to Liverpool, Blackburn etc, etc?
I think this system beats the shit out of the old one - turn up at Maine Rd in the pissing rain at god knows what time. No chance of the loo or anything to eat (`til the Rolling Pin opened at 6am) etc, etc with the required amount of away stubs (& a regular - remember them? - season ticket). Sorry, forgot, we did it out of love for our team win, lose (again) or draw. Not for any success that (n)ever came along. City is for life, not just wembley.

I've not read the thread, but after 10 years of the system being in use, I'd like to see everyone's loyalty points reduced to 10% of their original total.

Pretty self-explanatory really, but it would allow for some of the juniors to bridge the gap. That would obviously mean those on 7500 would have 750, those on 3000 have 300, those on 1000, now on 100 and so on. It would still reward those loyal in a bygone era, but would give the fans who have been attending more recently a better chance to the points for the big games.

As it stands now, the points are hardly an incentive for someone on 1500 points because they can never bridge the gap.

The need is there to find some sort of rolling system.

Maybe all points from the previous five seasons + 50% the previous three.

That would keep the I've got 7k points up there at the start but would mean the end of 20k cup games as loyalty is surely an ongoing thing.
