Not when you die or stop going through illness or otherwise.
I had a good chat with Danny Wilson from City a few months ago regard season tickets and loyalty points, some 2000 fans on average each and every season do not renew, there is alsways a hard core of fans that go everywhere come rain or shine, then there are the likes of me who does every home game and 6 or 7 aways, I'm on 4890 points, several hundred have over 7000, a couple of thousand have over 6000 and several thousand have over 5000 and so on. It rarely gets to a point where nobody ever gets a chance at tickets for aways and cup games unless restricted by allocation sizes or damand, you are always going to get high demand for Derby's cup semi's and finals and that's just tough luck. Anything over 4000 seats in the league or cup and most who really want to go get there. It's the hard core that gets dibs in first and quite rightly so, followed by me and you and then the rest, it's called age and loyaly and eventually they get there to replace those that don't anymore, for example my son who is 9 has 2470 points and has a season card for 3 years, he's never been to an away game but because he goes to all home games in the league and cup he has built up his points. Within a few years he will have 4000 or so, start going to the odd away game and will get cup final tickets and so on. That's how it is, patience..........................?!

I've not read the thread, but after 10 years of the system being in use, I'd like to see everyone's loyalty points reduced to 10% of their original total.

Pretty self-explanatory really, but it would allow for some of the juniors to bridge the gap. That would obviously mean those on 7500 would have 750, those on 3000 have 300, those on 1000, now on 100 and so on. It would still reward those loyal in a bygone era, but would give the fans who have been attending more recently a better chance to the points for the big games.

As it stands now, the points are hardly an incentive for someone on 1500 points because they can never bridge the gap.

The gap can be bridged easily by going to the less popular games. You would have had an extra 40 points if you had turned up at Liverpool, Blackburn etc. Why isn`t Everton sold out?

-- Wed May 04, 2011 5:06 pm --

Can somebody please tell me how many loyalty points you get for the following:

1x season card (not the 1st year)
1x FA Cup scheme (where can I find out about what this includes and how much it costs?)
Premiership away games
European away games

Are there other ways to earn points?

Just trying to figure out how I'm going to get my points total above 3500 by this time next year.

Thanks in advance!

Got to go to more games, did you go to all the home cup games this season? That was worth over 600 points this season, that's how you get there, the club gave incentives, when they do, oblige them and go support your team, then there is no cat calling and saying this and that is not fair............
Takes time to build up loyalty points and by deffinition you must be loyal, my son started at 6 and now has 2480 points at aged 9. How old are you?

-- Wed May 04, 2011 5:11 pm --

Thankyou......................

Surely the most unfair dimension to this is that a stadium with a capacity of 90,000 is only giving 25,000 tickets to each set of fans? If the allocation of tickets was more appropriate, the youngsters could go.

I heard you get loyalty points if you sign up for a city credit card. Is that true?

My Mrs hates football but she has a city credit card and by the way she spends on it i wouldnt be surprised if she is sat next to the person presenting the cup

The majority of the people advocating an overhaul are the people with few loyalty points, who'd directly benefit from a potential overhaul.

The loyalty point scheme rewards those who have demonstrated their loyalty over a period of years. The club don't help its credibility by undermining it with occasional inconsistencies, but it remains the fairest possible method of distributing tickets.

And as we become more successful, and become more appealing to the genetically flawed, non-entities that are universally recognised as 'gloryhunters', it'll be even more important. It will prove key to us retaining our core support, and not being evicted ala Chelski.

Which, for that reason alone, it has to remain in place.

Being a lad reaching 23 I think the loyalty point scheme is a great idea as its guaranteeing those that have attended more games then others first dibs on tickets.

I have about 3500 points and try attending away games that I can, bar the big games that are hard to get tickets I only tend to miss games I can't get to through work or other (personal) reasons, but I like knowing that someone like me who's only had a season card 4 years now can't get tickets ahead of someone who has had a season card a lot longer then me.

If all else fails I suppose I could just try a supporters club.
(That's a joke I'd never stoop that low)
