Loyalty Points - Now a Joke

What I think would be a really good idea would be for the club to publish the number of supporters between bands of points...

i.e.

10,000 - 9001 = x number of fans
9000 - 8001 = y number of fans
8000 - 7001 = z number of fans

that way everyone knows roughly where they sit in line to get a ticket!

You may laugh but I had 3380pts before Arsenal and I managed to get a ticket so now have 3420 - where my target for the end of the season was 3500 - I'm hoping to go to Wolves + Newcastle which would work out perfectly - but that is looking a little bleak.

I'm no less of a fan than anyone with 8000+ loyalty points - the fact that I only got a decent job a few years ago coupled along with having to relocate to near Bristol + fuel costs means I have limited points (I used to buy my tickets on a game by game basis rather than season card which I have now).

I do respect the system fully - and if used correctly would work 100% of the time - but hearing that there are 'tourists' getting tickets disheartens me. I tried to get a ticket to Norwich but they sold out the day before it went down to 3000... I would be gutted if you guys who are going find people going who 'have nothing better to do' are there instead of me, a loyal supporter who is trying to build up his points so he can get out of this situation that he is in!
Just join a Supporters Club then and you'll have no problem.

Many Supporter Club members have problems getting tickets for exactly the same reasons as other supporters who've posted on here. Anybody joining a Supporters Club just so they can get tickets is in for a shock. I would have thought regular visitors to this site would know that by now.

My missus has had a home and away season ticket with Spurs for about 12 years, and previously a home season ticket for 10 years. Spurs have just notified season ticket holders that only loyalty points accumulated in the last 4 years will be counted towards an individuals loyalty points total from next season.

She's obviously fuming. The ticket office told her that she has something like the 60th highest loyalty point total at the club. However, she exchanged tickets for a few games in the last couple of years (mainly European games and those in the NE and Liverpoo) to bring up our child. She may now struggle to get tickets for games where the allocation is low. Gutted for her as I remember her dragging herself to all points of the country when she was suffering with sickness while pregnant and going to the likes of Moldova, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic etc., to see Spurs compete in games, which in most cases are glorified friendlies. What price loyalty, eh?

Spurs are a horrible club who often treat fans like second class seasons. Ah well, that will tech 'em. Should have been born Blue.

I am member of London SC and didn't get one for the derby - had enough points to get one myself though - doesn't look like I will get one for QPR either

The real joke is how many fans suddenly can't make Norwich now we're out of the title race and are flogging their tickets downstairs. Unbelievable.

The other thing to remember is that a number of London clubs sell tickets in the away end from their ticket office, both this year and last at Chelsea I have sat close to people that didn't realize they where in the away end!

isnt that what superbia is?

Not exactly, as that covers all aways including Cups and Finals and is hugely overpriced. I was thinking more of league aways only.

Has anybody sat down and actually worked out if you went to every game this season whether or not Superbia was a good deal?

i think it worked out as about £36 a game, assuming we had gotten to every final, compared to the prices charged the season before last

if that figure is correct, there's no way it worked out as a good deal!

Yep; I'm still going to Norwich, I'm still going to Wolves. I'm hopeful for Newcastle even on my low points; only those who want to go will get a ticket.

I know for a fact Chelsea have done it the last 2 years, however it might well be part of some package they offer hotels or something??
