Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Love the player, not sure how he is going to get game time at City, and his price is laughable £40 to £50 million tops, of course he wants to get away from miserable Moyes, but it would be very disappointing if that was the best City`s scouting could do.

You need better reading comprehension. I didn't say that the club cares about what fans think. Someone wrote "price paid doesn't matter" because the club (not the fans) pay for the player. I said that price paid absolutely does matter because if they overpay for someone, that money is permanently lost and reduces the amount of money available to buy other players in the future. I didn't say that anyone rein particular was or wasn't overvalued. I didn't say that the club cares about what fans think. TRANSFER PRICES should matter to the fan (even though they aren't the one paying) unless funding is unlimited.
My reading comprehension is just fine. The club aren't run by amateurs who throw money about tag lag. Fans shouldn't care what price we pay as a) there is Jack shit we can do about it and b), the club know how a budget works and how to operate within one.

Each to their own. I shirked at the thought of us paying £100m for Declan Rice, I'd happily see us pay £80m for Paqueta. A far better footballer, although obviously a different position.

To say that about kovacic is extremely naive, you’re basing this on his Chelsea experience, where the whole fragmented environment isn’t something to measure him, he still won the Europa and CL with them by the way, with 3 more in the locker at Madrid; he’s a serial winner who brings a wealth of experience to the dressing room; where Gundogan was nurtured to that position, it’s a little disingenuous to say he isn’t his level…

He is a perfect replacement on every level, who can be rotated to boot, much like gundogan; he’s also superior with his back to goal, which I’m sure you’ve seen snippets already…

A guy of his pedigree is not to be written off as some downgrade, and he also has massive scope to improve further in a team that is perfect for his skill set
Understandable protection for a new starter, think your going to be very busy this season, especially if Pep does his usual, and plays players out of form.
