Why not look a bit outside maybe Europe like we did for Alvarez? There are good players available like Florentino Luiz and Frederick redondo for example who would be available for a fraction of the price.

I think Kane was left hanging simply because the information his agent /brother told us was simply not reliable or true. We had no option but to walk away. We were told if we bid £100m Kane could secure a move. We were then told it was £150m which was wholly at odds with what the agent told us.

Moot point but I think we only ever bid £75M.

We were looking for a DM or proper “all-rounder” CM’s in rice and Bellingham no? So those two players fit the bill and continue the trend of the players we’re looking for. Plus Rodri is the only DM we have with Phillips seemingly not trusted.
