Take a look at his stats before West ham and Moyes, and with Brazil when he was play as an attacking midfielder. 1 in 4 so about the same as Gundogan.I would guess one of his reasons for wanting us is so he's used in his best position not as Moyes used him. If that wasn't the case we wouldn't be buying him because we have Kovacic for that.
He's a perfect Gundogan replacement.

Gundogan is better offensively progressive passing, assists, goals etc. Paqueta slightly better defensively blocks, tackles, interceptions etc.

Agree this is bollocks. The deal is done but waiting on west ham to line up some transfers in before it goes over the line.

We need Maguire to get his head out of his arse for this to go through. If hammers can't back fill this won't happen.

Paqueta's strength is on the defensive side of his game, he's a huge step down on the creative side compared to what we have lost, (and our losing), in Gundogan, Mahrez and KDB!

He's had to improve the defensive side because for some reason Moyes has played him in a deeper role with Soucek pushed forwards. He's always been a more attacking player before that. He's similar to Bernardo in that he can play wide or in the middle, is tricky and can create and score goals but will always put a shift in and do his defensive work. He's wasted in the West Ham team and will be much better playing our style of football. The added energy he brings would also be a big benefit to the team.
