With every post I and others are more and more certain that you are a Rag on the WUM.
At best you are an idiot.

F**K OFF !
According to you, all our players are shit.
And anybody we are linked with is shit.
I suggest you take your own advice.

Lucio has been class for about 12 years, but last season Gareth Bale made him look silly way too many times for a top class defender. He never got close to him and was blowing bubbles. Looked like his legs had gone. Also, when Inter Milan start trying to shift players, maybe they're not upto scratch anymore. It's the ones they are trying to keep that you want.

Good post. And I'm loving your username, WJP.

Bale also made Maicon look poor, not because they are poor players, but because they don't have, and Lucio has never had Bales pace. Bale isn't Messi but he is very quick and has more control than Lennon.

That said I'd take Lucio at City anytime

Two years ago, even if we'd offered Bayern Munich £24 million for Lucio, I seriously doubt he'd have come to us. Mark Hughes as manager, such footballing "stars" as Roque Santa Cruz, Wayne Bridge, Benjani and Tal Ben Haim on the books, I doubt a 31/32 year old Brazillian International centre half would have considered us. At that age he'd be looking for the chance to win the big trophies NOW (2 years ago) not in the future, and he did.

I got your point, but you never know if Hughes was interested in him or not !
As far as I remember, Hughes passed the opportunity to sign Thiago Silva also because he doesn't have the PL experience.

Inter Milan defender Lucio is edging closer to an exit.

Mediaset says Lucio is yet to hear from Inter after demanding a pay-rise.

The defender is now considering his options and has spoken about returning to Bayern Munich.

However, former Inter coach Roberto Mancini is also keen to lure Lucio to Manchester City in preparation for their Champions League demands.

A year to the day he gets released.

If you're gonna break up the Lescott-Kompany partnership it has to be for someone young. Not someone older than the guy you're replacing.

I am speculating a bit here but I wonder if Roberto was in Milan to try and persuade Lucio to City?

He was there to talk about the possibility of signing Thiago Silva. Milan said they wanted £32m and Mancini said no. That was that.

Never said I would break it up(I wouldn't!) but he is better than Kolo and Savic, go get him Bobby.

Yes but he's better than Lescott. It would just be awkward to have him on the bench, but illogical to replace Lescott with him. Would be a pointless signing if you ask me.

If we want 3rd/4th choice CB we could sign Tomas Sivok. 28 years old, will become a free agent this Sunday, did play for Udinese and Besiktas where he earned less than 15k p/w so he'd be really cheap. And he's in talks with Everton, Fulham, Southampton, Wigan, Sevilla and Valencia now.

I take it you're his agent

It's not 2006 anymore, we aren't shopping in the bargain bin for mid-table players.
