My jury is out on this girl. I think her defence was shambolic, apparently medics don't like to do defence case appearances as it has been proven to damage their careers.

I guess if I was a parent of a new born ( as I was 30+ years ago), I wouldn't be feeling that maybe an injustice has been done.

There is a lot wrong at that hospital....

I saw a documentary on this which may have been one sided but there are a lot of questions regarding her conviction. The fact she had no medical defence, none of the forensic pathologists who examined the babies found any evidence of malpractice, no one ever saw her doing anything suspicious and the hospital unit had known problems of contamination and sewage issues. That’s not to say she is innocent but were these covered in the trial?

It’s like the Jeremy Bamber case. I think he did it but if you look at the evidence used to convict him there is very little - it was largely his word against his girlfriend’s.

I must admit I find her body language during arrest and custody photograph displaying no fear , guilt , or innocence for that matter , just blank. That's if you set any stall by these things.

After she murdered 7 babies and tried killing a definite 7 more.

The fact that this is still getting dragged on must be absolutely awful for the victims families. Not a chance they can try and move forward with their lives.

Yeh it’s like Amanda Knox - her behaviour and lack of compassion (doing cart wheels in the police station) was part of her downfall. People are naturally suspicious

A blank or "flattened" expression is something I have witnessed a few times, in people with autism or schizophrenia, and it's well documented. Not saying that's what is going on with Letby, but it's interesting.

I've got to agree somewhat. Even if she did write it after it being suggested by a therapist (and after the charges) it speaks of either guilt or a disturbed individual
