Lucy Powell

When the missus worked in "employment bureaux" Powell was a constant nightmare always sending MP letters, haranguing staff and being an all round pain. She doesn't speak highly of Luce.

It is an interesting appointment. And gives hope that someone may at last have a bit more vision for the penal system than, bang them up, treat them like animals and then fingers crossed they’re magically rehabilitated when they get out.

I think about 1 in 10 of Timpson’s employees are ex cons.
I think Timpson are a very positive example. They don't just hand chances to anyone.
But there is a complete disconnect between parliament and that world that most people live in.
Drugs is the real global issue. Legalise the lot, same with prostitution, concentrate on the human traffickers, muggers and thugs.
As an island we are best placed to deal with legalising drugs, taxing it removing that crime link between drug takes and drug sellers. They talk about gateway drugs, the number one gateway drug is and has always been booze.
The truth is we have no idea how many children and people in the UK are living as slaves. They estimate that around 112,853 children go missing each year. Surely finding those kinds safe is more of a priority.

I can’t say for certain that Timpson is a blue but I can confirm that City key rings are the only football club key rings available in the Timpsons by St James’ Park Tube station.

The White Eagle and The Oyster Catcher on Anglesey, two great pubs,
were owned by John Timpson and his wife, not sure they still are.

Timpson and Timpsons deserve every credit and more for not just for what has been done around Manchester.
