Luton Town Thread - 2023/24

Really don't understand all the vitriol with Luton. Non-League to Premier in 10 years has to be admired. The fact they did it with sub 10,000 crowds is even more to their credit.

If the clubs get so much money for playing in the Premier League then they can surely afford to build a new stadium or build new stands.
That's all very well if a club is a regular PL side, but say Luton have to spend millions upgrading and then end up being relegated it could put them into financial difficulty

It’s because in the 80s their fans were racist thugs, their Chairman was a Thatcher lickspittle, and they relegated us with a Manager who used hookers. Obviously these days they are a friendly family club. But some of us have long memories.

..... and still bare the scars of that fateful day back in May 83.

Plenty of clubs have requested (and been granted) their first 3 games be played away due to ground developments not being ready before the start of the season.
Is it an urban myth that we request our opening game to be an away game, in order to give the pitch an extra week's recovery time after the summer concerts that take place?
