Lyon CL QF Post-Match Thread

Fern is finished.
Gundogan never really got going.
Still don't think Rodri has the energy needed for his role.

But most of all this was a shocking performance from Pep. Just pick your best team and play the way that got us 100+ goals in the league.

We need a couple of attempts in Europa League before we try to win Champs League. And I for one, can say Jurgen Klopp is a better manager hands down. U cannot get a team like ours past this Lyon team,, says plenty about Pep.

Selection.

Anyway, sorry end to a mostly poor season. Night all, sleep well.

Had enough of feeling like this. Pep keeps fucking us over in these huge moments. This is not his toy to play with and experiment with. But he takes it as a personal opportunity to shock. Too big an ego and think we seriously need a succession plan

that miss is why sterling will never quite be on the level of a neymar or mbappe, let alone a messi or ronaldo, and this is not me having a go: he was our best player before he missed. but those players would never miss that. ever. he does it once a season.

he is never going to become that ruthless, composed, top class finisher. the fact that he still scored 31 goals this season without being very good at shooting is testament to his movement and intelligence to get into good positions. tonight is on Pep and VAR and Ederson as much as it's on him.

the point is, if aguero's knee is fucked we need a goalscorer. fast.

Legit questions should be asked of Pep

Yes it was a foul Goal, but raz miss, Ederson howler... Can't make it up

I’d throw a new contract at him tomorrow and say sign it or resign.

I don’t see any benefit to him staying for one more season. We’ve already domestically peaked under him and he will find a way to fuck up in Europe as he usually does.

He either commits to a long-term rebuild or go and we get someone who will.

Yeah all on
If you think Uefa would have let us lift the trophy you are deluded. The foul on Laporte didn't need to go to Var it was that obvious, but it stood.
Best we went out now, as if we had reached the final we would be tearing our hair out at the injustices UEFA would have inflicted on us
Yeah all on UEFA. Riight.

I cant believe that their second goal was allowed to stand. Laporte clearly gets tripped & their other forward who was in an offside position interfears with play.

I think it safe to say we will never win the Champions League under Pep.

His record is fucking abysmal.

We looked scared of them from the start. No belief.

Mixed feelings about going out tbh

I think Lyon have saved us from a good fucking hiding by bayern.

Why does this side Bottle it so much in Europe.Every season is the same. Calamitous school boy defending.
