I think that’s going to be pretty close, but with Lyon playing 3 at the back I’ve got a feeling he’s going to play a false 9 to draw that middle centre back out and leave Sterling and Mahrez 1v1 against their centre back.

I think Foden or Bernado are going to play as the false 9.

Harsh on Jesus as he was brilliant last game, but it’s all about winning at this point.

You could be right with the false no 9 but which ever system we play I think we should win. I would expect 2 or 3 changes for the Bayern game to freshen it up. Possibly bring Foden for that game.

Not like we have managed to lose against far inferior teams by getting countered this season. Underestimating Lyon is a massive mistake. They will bring a bus and are satisfied to take it to penalties.

Knowing City we're more likely to win tonight, beat Bayern in a fantastic game Wednesday, then lose to say RBL in the final ( last minute Angelino winner).

Bayern have won all ten CL matches this season and look awesome.

Several teams would’ve smashed a pathetic Barca last night .....our Ladies team would’ve made a better fist of it.

Munchen didn’t have to work to hard for their goals.

Probably not. Mind you, I refuse to vote either way as I'm superstitious like that.

Still think this won't be easy. Buzzing for the game already and just under 10 hours to go. I'll be fucked by kick off time. :)

Yeh, Pep’s teams are impossible to predict. But if one thing is predictable, he won’t ever set us up to get outnumbered in midfield. You play 2, we play 3. You play 3, we play 4.

Lyon play 3 centre mids and 2 wing backs with two wingers ahead of them, so essentially 5 in midfield.

The only way we can get the numbers to match or outnumber them in the middle is of we play a false 9 or 3 at the back.

Given the state of our centre half options, I assume he’ll go false 9. Particularly as they play 3 up front, it would be very risky to play 3v3 at the back, the last time he did that his Bayern team got mullered by Barcelona.
