Macclesfield

I find it weird tourists visit the house, it is somebody's home and the tragedy happened many years a go.

Curtis was in an unhappy marriage, struggling with his epilepsy and the side effects of the prescribed drugs sent him in to a dark place. Don't understand why people find it fascinating to visit the site where the suicide took place..

Each to their own, that's my view.

You want to try living at Anne Frank's house. Hide and seek with the kids is impossible.

I've only ever been on the piss in Macc the day we played them in the old 3rd division. From what i can remember i went in some good pubs. I bet it ain't anywhere near as good for drinking as it used to be though ?

Macc and Bollington used to have the most pubs per capita in the country - alledgedly. There certainly were a lot.

I heard that about Bollington too, but there has to be some de minimis applied to this metric as I know plenty of hamlets that have a couple of boozers. I bet there’s a few in rural Oxfordshire!

Looks like I'd been drinking when I typed Bollington (I don't actually drink).

Yes, there must be a de minimis. Our neibouring village had three pubs when we moved here and now is down to one.
