'No doubts' that Wandelt wasn't Madeleine from Sky news​

“Gerry McCann is asked about the decision not to get a DNA test to confirm that Julia Wandelt was not Madeleine.

"There's three reasons," McCann said.

"We didn't believe she was Madeleine, we'd been reassured by the Metropolitan Police following their investigations within Poland she was who her name is.

"Lastly, it's not our responsibility to do a DNA test, it's a matter for investigative forces."

McCann says there was "no doubt" that Wandelt was not Madeleine and the Metropolitan Police had eliminated Wandelt from the inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance in 2023.”

This story caught my eye on the news this afternoon, Gerry McCann refused to give a DNA test to prove this young lady isn’t his daughter Madeleine.
I wouldn’t refuse if it was my daughter gone missing if there was the slightest chance it was her despite what the police said.
DNA tests would put the matter to bed without taking the girl to court.Obviously she needs treatment if it’s not Madeleine and she’s harassing the McCann family

I wouldn’t agree with that at all.

I was reading this yesterday and it’s clear this woman has issues. It probably started as genuine enquiries to the family but has escalated as she was continually knocked back. Unfortunately I don’t see how it could have been stopped other than the McCanns going into hiding. The woman’s “parents” could have provided a DNA test to prove or disprove her background but that’s the same as demanding a DNA test from the McCanns, it’s not really something authorities can do unless they suspect a crime.

I genuinely think the woman didn’t/doesn’t see the harm she was doing as she was solely focused on what she had convinced herself. Have we heard from the other accused woman yet as to what her role in all of this was?

I think part of the issue here is the McCanns themselves.

Neither of them are likeable. They are both cold characters, especially him. No chance of me being part of the tapas nine if I’d met them on holiday, as I wouldn’t waste any of my holiday in the company of people that left me cold. There is definitely something off with both of them, but that doesn’t make them murderers.

I think this definitely plays in people’s minds, because they don’t invite empathy as much as other parents would in the same circumstances.

It’s not a criticism, as I’m guilty of it myself to some extent.

But I do think they’ve suffered enough.

I used to live in the next village to them in Leics, and both attended the same gym. His demeanour in real life is so different to when the cameras are rolling, I've seen the way he talks to Kate and is very controlling.

I'm convinced poor Maddie died in that hotel room (by accident I hasten to add), Cadavar dogs never lie. A British Establishment cover up from top to bottom.

If she died in an accident then why wouldn’t they call the police and have the whole thing cleared as an accident rather than this whole charade for the rest of their lives?

Having read the original Portugese detectives book I'm also 1000% convinced it was Gerry. I suspect they were giving the kids something so they slept through the night and Maddie had an adverse reaction. The smoking gun is Kate leaving the twins in the room while she went to alert the rest Madeline was missing. No fucking way you do that if you suspect a child abduction, and no way does a child abducter ignore the 2 much younger children and take the eldest.
