Frankly I'd be fucking amazed. The only place she's going to be found IMO is buried in a ditch in Portugal or just offshore on the bottom of the Atlantic.

It would certainly be one of the most amazing news stories ever. Imagine the public reaction!

Like you I'd be stunned if she wasn't dead.

There's so much circumstantial evidence to support the thesis that no one else was involved in her disappearance. Plus the fact that Kate McCann refused to answer many police questions in the days after.

Certainly something odd in all of that.

Bit dramatic! There's a report that someone who's never seen Maddie has seen a girl that might look like her, which seemingly the local police are denying.

this may sound controversial, but do her parents really deserve her back?

I want her to be found alive, but I want her to be adopted to parents who can actually look after their kid properly and don't put their social life first.

I dislike the fact the media have devoted however many miles of text to this one case when compared with the tens of thousands of children that aren't white and pretty and have died in sub-saharan africa over the last 4 years.

Image what the 2+ million could have done for some of them. But that is another topic. If it was my daughter, I would no doubt have tried to keep the story in the public eye just as much as the McCanns have done.

I just don't think they're fit to parent and would rather Madeleine get raised by proper parents, if she's alive which I strongly doubt.

I really don't care if you think that's "idiotic" and "sick", the probable acts her parents committed are the only things close to that description.

At the end of the day it comes down to whether you believe they're genuine or not, I doubt they are but would love evidence to prove otherwise. Your answer to that determines what you believe the intentions of what they've done since are.
