If you're gonna play the "oh well you don't know what it's like and I can tell you they are good parents and obviously are in total anguish and despair at the innocent loss of their kid which wasn't their fault and I applaud them for every effort they make to keep it in their news" then sod it, because not all parents are like that and I know that for a fact, you don't know them or their motives so it's pretty much irrelevant what your, mine or their background is, it is open to interpretation and thus nobody's opinion is wrong.

There are a number of parents who show neglect and/or cruelty to their kids and these 2 neglected them abroad and she's gone and could be dead. In this country there would be social services and all sorts involved, what's the difference because she was on holiday?

They're responsible for her dissappearance, it's their fault, and they should be held responsible for it.

what they did was stupid, really fucking stupid but to not let them see her IF she is found would be cruel.

parents make mistakes and i'm sure there are many around leaving their kids here and there it's just the Mccanns unfortunately left theirs while they were being watched.

what they must have gone through in the last few years. they deserve a second chance.

At the end of the day it comes down to whether you believe they're genuine or not, I doubt they are but would love evidence to prove otherwise. Your answer to that determines what you believe the intentions of what they've done since are.

Second time in a couple days JMW. Innocent until proven guilty. Evidence doesn't prove innocence. Had a higher opinion of you than this.

The local police chief has categorically denied any such sighting has taken place or that they are assisting in identifying a child.

Leh police chief Vivek Gupta categorically denied the sighting. He said: "This incident is not in my knowledge and I have not sent any request to anyone for this. We have not taken any swabs for DNA testing. We have not even been approached for any help by anyone in this case." None of us know whether the McCanns had anything to do with this or not but the behaviour of the cadaver dog is the main reason IMO why they should be called into question. People often talk about how the Portuguese police investigation was bungled and that they even tried to pin it on the McCann's out of desperation. That may well be the case but I can't see a British sniffer dog being in on the stitch-up too. Having said that, the longer this has gone on, the more I've felt that they wouldn't be able to keep up such an act for this length of time if they were guilty of something.

Wherever have I ever said don't question? Everything should be questioned. I just continue to presume innocence (or non-existence) until proved otherwise. That's how logic dictates we do things.
