Madrid away pick up details

i know someone who had used someone else's season ticket to go to the game so when he gets to Madrid and his name and passport don't match the ticket, then what happens?

Unless he disguises himself as that person and also takes their passport, he's got no chance. I heard off someone that this is what some did in Paris and squirty said two did the same (could be the same people). However, after successfully getting their tickets one of those two got refused entry at the ground, presumably because by then they weren't in disguise when being asked to present photo id.

Still haven't received anything, and the Ticket Office is closed on Sunday and Monday,
Yes, I can ring them, and yes they'll probably apologise, before sending me an email, which I can only print off by forwarding it to my office email, and then driving into Stockport.
Yes, I should have used my office email in the first place, but I've never had a problem until now
Beyond a joke.

There was nothing about printing off the email. I'm assuming I can show them the email on my phone. Did anyone do this last time?
Some people in Paris were showing their phones to City staff so I assume that was the confirmation letter. I took mine with me as we had five posted out.
However there was a young lady who had had her phone stolen the night before and couldn't show the confirmation. Cheery Chisholm took delight in making her squirm and get upset at the thought of not getting her ticket.

Although this is what some of our posters think of people losing things

Wow, what a fuss about passports, they are saying look after it, if grown men and women can't look after their passports what is the world coming to? I carry my passport with me 95% of the time even over here so I don't see what the fuss is about. On the one hand people are going on about points 'whores' and how to make sure that they are not getting tickets and on the other hand oooohhhhh look I have to have my passport with me, this is terrible, I'm too wimpish to be able to look after my passport!!!

For Gods sake.....The club has asked a million fucking times to ensure your contact and email address is correct over the years.
Its simple, no letter will be received, confirmation of your ticket purchase and collection point is by email, 2 separate emails, the latter, I got yesterday.
To pick up 'YOUR' ticket, you must take 'YOUR' passport, together with the 'YOUR' email confirmation of the pickup point (the most recent email, the second one), to the bleeding pick up point, with 'YOURSELF', meaning, unless you have an identical twin, you are unlikely to receive your ticket and wristband at the pickup point, which will again be security checked, along with your passport and ticket before you gain entry to the ground. Comfuckinprendre.....?!

What time are you planning to get there? How long does the process take? How long will it take to get into the stadium once you've got your ticket?

I can see hundreds of City fans queuing up to get their ticket having left it too late.

Read the advice sent with the confirmation email, its all in there...!
The authorities ask that we are all in the ground 30 mins before kick off, gates open at 7pm.

The problem as I see it would be if hundreds (if not a couple of thousand) City fans decide to spend the afternoon in the centre, stay just a bit longer for that last drink, underestimate how long the ticket collecting process will take and how long it can take to get past the security to get into the stadium.

I reckon most will get it sorted first thing before the drinking starts. I can see the 10 till 12 period on the Wednesday bring really busy with those who've arrived late Tuesday (myself) those coming straight from the airports plus the 350 odd on spikes trip who will get there around then

The ticket collection should be in the centre not 250m from the stadium

Surely most blues will want to stay in the centre so unless you want to risk turning up for your ticket at the last minute, it means you will have to drag yourself up to the Bernabeau twice

Badly thought out

Well, we land at 1015 on Wednesday and are then coached directly to the ticket collection point, I would guess for around 12pm, hopefully only 1 hour there to get my ticket and wristband, the rest of the day is ours. I intend, having spent £500 plus, getting to the turnstiles for around 7pm, that gives me 6 hours to eat and drink, and I won't be doing it too far from the stadium, cos its cheaper there, and I've gone to watch the game, not troop around Madrid looking at gardens, pretty water features or architecture, or getting my pocket picked on the transport network. I'd have booked a 2 night stay to do that.
The upshot is, take heed of the advice given, they know how long it takes....Simples.
