Madrid v City CL semi final 2nd leg

Just not good enough. Overrun in midfield again and very little threat up front.
Madrid were mediocre and should have been put under more pressure. Poor performances from Yaya, Kevin and Kun .

What a pitiful performance. The last English team in the competition - imagine millions of football supporters , in England , Europe and worldwide will have every right
to take the piss out of us.
That is what hurts me.!

Not even that arsed, seriously.

This team and manager have created such a low expectation level over the last 16 months.

If you know you have a proper team, one that leaves it out on the field every single time, that's when you can feel bereft or cheated.

This is how I want to feel but I'm still arsed about the lack of effort.

Sergio did nothing wrong.

What are people expecting, he's just banging his head against a brick wall, isolated at every turn, because we had no possession or link play up to him, hence him trying to drop 30 yards back.

The tie swung in Madrid's favour when Silva got injured.

We wasn't very good but on the whole passed to players in our team. Certain other players couldn't even manage that and didn't try any harder.

Why did people expect more, we have played like this all season. The team follows the managers lead who is a dinosaur.

Defence played ok after komps injury but from the midfield and front 3 only Fernandinho played with any real hunger

Madrid created good chances as soon as City tried to throw men forward it wouldn't have worked, Madrid are too good
If that had been a first leg it would of been okay

Chill lads.

We lost to a very, very good team. By one, deflected goal.

We made a fuckton of money this year.

Money Pep Guardiola will be spending.

This wasn't supposed to be our year, this was us just politely knocking on the door.

Money that immediately turns to dust if we don't get top 4

I don't know about you guys but in these kind of games i miss Dzeko. A player who holds the ball up and you can play the long ball to him also

Looking back, I'm proud that we got this far. We've been very disciplined in Europe but that alone isn't enough and you must be able to create chances. I was so disappointed with our offensive play tonight. The movement off the ball, the urgency, the one-twos and additional runners were all not present. Madrid pressed us in the final third and, when you press us, we struggle.

Wow, borderline unacceptable. We weren't even better than against Southampton with a weakened side. And no, this wasn't because of Real Madrid are any great at the moment. They are quite shit, by their recent standards. Yet we did not create any fucking good chance throughout the two games, apart from that Fernandinho one. Pellegrini is mostly to blame, though I don't know what the fuck was that from few of our players.
