Left back was never the problem, the problem was that he was getting 2 on 1 because he wasn't getting any cover, Barry will fix that.

Agreed and surely part of the reason for getting Lescott is to give us cover there if Bridge gets injured.

Yet another traget to be raided by the humble, non-ruining football by lavish spending side Real Madrid. Good thing our right side of the pitch is in order anyway, would be a different issue if this was a leftback we were after. I disagree - most of Bridge's problems were self-inflicted, particularly some poor positional play.

I'm talking about instances last season when the ball was coming across into our area from the other flank, that's nothing to do with LM.
