I clashed with people in the transfer forum when we first started getting linked with him. I found even rumours of his transfer to City offensive, you can imagine my severe disappointment when we went ahead and stumped up 4m for him.

In fairness I think he is as good as Zabaleta, a lot of people are basing their opinions of him on THAT game against Tottenham where Bale demolished him, but to be honest, Bale has done that to a lot of full backs in the past few years, it doesn't make you a bad player if a world class player manages to get past you, if that's the case then why not ridicule Zabaleta for the build up to Ronaldo's winner against Madrid?

What a moronic post, this is a player that was instrumental in winning the champions league and you are disappointed we spent 4m on him when championship players are sold for twice as much or average championship strikers go for 2.5 mil. RSC cost 18mil and has a terrible injury record. People talking about Bale, should remember Richards playing worse at White Hart Lane in 2010, was it time to get rid was he a spent force?
