Maicon

No need to rush getting rid of Boyata unfortunately we have only Richards who is over 21 looking the part from the academy and because of that we can only have a maximum of 23 players in CL so even though (i agree) Boyata ain't up to it there is a spot for him to take it to 24 players because he is now over 21.

We lose Boyata on a free transfer if we don't sell him this summer. As mediocre as he is, he's probably established enough to get over a million quid for.

It's mind boggling the amount of money we re taking off the yearly wage bill with the outgoings, and the new signings being on sensible contracts. I love it.

Woahhhh, slow down there. You'll start sounding like an Arsenal fan if you carry on.

Wait why should we keep him? Sell him now, he can still kickstart his career. Maicon too, expensive wages for nothing. We are covered enough with the right back position.

In respect of Boyata if any offer came in for him I have no doubt he would be sold/loaned but in terms of priority better to get the high wage earners out of the club and bring in the players we need before we start worrying about him and if there are no suitors he can fill in the numbers that is all I am saying.

A fully fit Maicon has proven himself as world class and a level above both Micah and Zab too. Too many people think Maicon and think of the Spurs game against Bale (when he wasn't even fit). He was never given a chance to prove himself here.

It's highly disrespectful from a lot of our fans on here that put him in the same bracket as Scott Sinclair.

I wish him luck at Roma.

If it was 2008 i'd agree with you.

I cant believe someone is willing to give us money for him.
Which is why Dani Alves couldn't get him out of the Brazil team till the back end of 2011? He was class for Inter at the end of the season before we bought him, I remember him scoring this in the derby:

Would've offered us so much of what we didn't have against the park the bus brigade.

I'm not surprised someone would give us money for him. He's still a top player.

Wow. You're really using one goal(which to be fair was a good goal.) as your reasoning as to why Maicon was better than Micah or Zaba. Even when Maicon was at Inter he managed to get away with his shite defending because either Pandev or Etoo would be helping him out.

No. I'm using it as an example to show what he still has to offer going forward. Even in the little time he was on the pitch for us you can see that he's a more gifted attacking player than any of our other fullbacks. He could've been a valuable asset to break down banks of 10, but we badly misused him.

Find me another fullback in the prem with this technique:

To be fair that doesn't make him a good player!!! Danny Mills can score wonder goals like the one 18secs in does that mean he is quality?

I'm guessing probably not even a fee, just getting him off our books permanently?

I'll take it.
