Indeed, too early to judge - but we all know his got the ability for long range shooting and passing , central mid for England could work out better for him. We’ll have to see

Time will tell but I’d be surprised if this experiment turns into anything substantial.
England could have a very competitive team. If Southgate chose to go with what has landed in his lap.

That team could control possession in many games. Particularly with Stones pushing into midfield. You just know that Southgate won’t do it though.

I think this is the reason you’ll find very few City fans enjoying Southgate.. When Mount was stinking the place out, fans were crying out for Foden centrally. But Southgate refused citing that he didn’t play there for City. Well, Foden has played more games for City centrally than Alexander Arnold has played centre mid for Liverpool.
City have just won the treble, yet only Stones is a sure fire starter. And we have Grealish, Foden, Stones and Walker playing week in week out.

I hate Man U and Spurs with a passion - I couldn’t give a toss if the starting 11 all played for them and Rice/Bowen wasn’t given a look in

That’s fair enough, it’s not about who he picks, it’s about the double standards. As I say Arnold playing centre mid with zero experience, but Foden can’t because he doesn’t play there for City.
Again, why was Southgate the only manager to leave out all his City players.
Spain, Argentina, Holland all played their City players.
Southgate also having issues with City celebrations, why? They all turned up for camp. Then he fucks them off. That doesn’t sit well..

Theres no way I can support England when players from the rags and dippers are picked ahead of City players.
City players are miles ahead on football intelligence and they first touch is top draw.
The main problem the City players have is they have to lower their standards to get picked. Hence Foden struggles his brain works to fast for the other English players. But instead of the press/media praising this they blame him for not playing well ! Yet it's his team mates that are just to slow for his level of football lol
No way in a million years is TAA better than Johnny Stones
John Stones is different class, World class but can he score goals like TAA did yesterday and deliver set pieces/crosses like he can ? They are different players - offensively TAA can offer slightly more. That doesn’t make him better.
