The idea of a loan of a good prospect is for it to be mutually beneficial (especially with partner clubs), we wouldn't be the first club to demand regular first team football for a loanee. If the club can't guarantee him regular football then that's fine, the player doesn't have to go there and can go somewhere else. What's the point in sending a player to a team with inferior facilities to sit around and train when he could at our club?

Haha. Can we have a list of the loanees where they have been guaranteed first team football please ?

No, didnt think so.

John Guidetti and he helped secure Champions League Football for them. Vladmir Weiss had a decent run of game for both Rangers and Espanyol. Joe Hart had a good spell at Birmingham.

They were guaranteed fuck all, they were just better options than what those clubs had at the time.

As long as their attitude is right then they are guaranteed a starting spot. We only had a problem when we loaned players out to Bolton.

Slice of humble pie 80s shorts?

Dont be silly. Why on earth wouldnt Guidetti play regularly? He was banging in goals left, right and centre. The question was in respect of a GUARANTEED starting place. The simple fact is that if the loanee is performing well then he will get games. If the loanee is having a mare then do you honestly think the clubs that are being mentioned would continue to play the loanee. Of course not.

loans are for the players to get used to being in a first team squad. No matter who you play for you will have to perform in training and games to keep your place

Anderlecht next for Abu if the clubs can reach an agreement. Which would mean Champions League football, at least the qualifying stages and if they do well the group stages. He'd also probably get first team football as they will be bringing Abu in to replace Lucas Biglia who is linked with Arsenal and Real Madrid so on the way out one way or another.

Still struggling for a work permit I imagine? Hopefully, he can acquire more international caps in the coming year
