Man city sign 18 year old ghanaian Mohammed abu.

Frankfurt are in the middle of a tight battle for promotion

there is absolutely no way they would risk playing him in this crucial time

He's coming back to City on June 30th because the club want to loan him to a better league than Norway. Frankfurt again maybe, now that their successful promotion battle is over? There's also Gil Vicente in Portugal, Espanyol in Spain (but no guarantees of regular football there as they aren't a bad side), and Feyenoord in Holland as some other possible options.

Great news, the hype surrounding his potential deserves a sterner level of football.
If there are no Championship clubs interested then Germany or Holland would be my preference.

Fingers crossed he comes good.

Let him be in Norway for the reminder of the season, Stromsgodset are fighting at the top , much to this guys ability.
Great vision, passing and mover of the ball.

20 now though, surely time has come for him to play football in a renowned league, the club will want to know if he has any chance with us, hard to gauge that while he bosses the Norwegian league.

Does anyone know what went wrong in Germany?

Frankfurt were chasing promotion (that they eventually got) and didn't want to tinker with their formula too much so he didn't get much of a chance. Understandable but events like this really annoy me, why do we agree to these loans of highly talented prospects without some guarantees of football. Weiss wasted half a season of his development in much the same way at Bolton so it's good that Abu's loan at Frankfurt was cut short.
