Excited to see One Heritage tower going forward again after it stalled.

These are old cgi's and a model that don't include the new towers that have gone up and are going up.

Fresh planning documents lodged with Salford City Council name Silverlane and its funding partner Arlesco Ventures as the developer and client respectively, while BCEGI is listed as the contractor for the 55-storey tower scheme. The companies are currently working together on a 23-storey residential scheme in Eccles.
Paul Westhead, project lead for One Heritage Tower, said: “One Heritage is delighted to have finalised the planning consent for the tower and is now progressing the final design work pre-construction.

“There a few elements that need to be finalised in Q1 2024 but it is intended that a start on site can occur by Easter and the project can at last come forward through 2024

Manchester is going to look like a small New York, Chicago soon, there are at least 20 big buildings between 100 and 250m tall under construction or planned for the next few years, i get my information from a site called skycrapercity which is a good informative site, but don't engage with the argumentative fanatics. on the Manchester forum, these people truly are "train spotters" the forum is totally dominated by very opinionated construction nerds.

I used to be one of those nerds. :-)

On a serious note. The SSC-MCR forum members are a very dedicated bunch. They put a lot of personal time and effort into the Manchester forum keeping it going and keeping it updated. Architecture, property development and construction is their interest and hobby. There's nothing wrong with that. We all have different interests and hobbies.

I got into architecture, property development and construction after hearing the explosion and seeing smoke rise from the IRA bomb in 1996. I started taking a keen interest in the redevelopment of the city centre. I joined SSC-MCR in 2003. I'm still a member of SSC-MCR to this day and I always will be, even though I don't post on there anymore. My post count stopped at 65,218 a year ago.

Anyway, back to being a nerd. ;-)

A few quick pictures from yesterday before the match.
