Manchester’s Changing Skyline

@LEXSTARproject, see what I mean about the horizontal panels? Re NS.
Hi @Coatigan

Yes they do stand out more and help give the building a better a look , the St Micheal Devlopment looks amazing so does the new BT building as well

The designer of the hotel should visit St Micheals and the BT buiding to see what can be done as at the moment the hotel does not look good

Some absolute crackers from Andy Mallins.

Click on the link below for more pictures of Manchester and similar cracking pictures of Liverpool. You’ll have to scroll down a bit past the Manchester pictures I’ve posted. Haven’t posted them all.

The 2 cities couldn’t be anymore different, but similar in a way. Manchester with it’s numerous towers mixed in with it’s old buildings, and Liverpool with it’s Waterfront and numerous old buildings.

Note the Stay City Hotel core, 22 fl, at the bottom of Deansgate in the pictures.

Love a frosty Manny morning!

Filmed these clips when we carried out a roof survey in the heart of Manchester City. Living so close to the centre and yet also being able to quickly enjoy the rural side of Greater Manchester is so amazing, I love the variety of landscapes and vibes.

That said, I haven't actually shot footage in Manchester like this before for some reason! That will change this year, definitely more skyline media to come in 2024.

As I’m 56 years old, I Insincerely hope I’m still alive to see all of this constructed and more in the future, before a crane lifts me into the big construction site in the sky. :-)

On the model. AO Arena and Victoria Station centre Left, flat, below the womens hand.

First two apartment blocks on the model, centre right, the Gate & the Stile, built. Beyond that Red Bank, currently under construction, and future phases.

The integration of Wild Urbanism in Red Bank offers Manchester a new model for developing and delivering truly sustainable, distinctive and equitable neighbourhoods – a blueprint for urban life for the next generation of Mancunians. Here's Urban Studio's kevin logan and Oliver Schulze ofCopenhagen practice Schulze+Grassov on site with Hilary Brett.

The development is the first phase of the Victoria North regeneration scheme for the Far East Consortium UK (FEC), which aims to deliver 15,000 homes in the next 15 to 20 years in partnership with Manchester City Council.

Whilst the plans and model look good, I'm more impressed that they appear to have dug up Robin Williams and got him involved
