I know it doesnt mean much if people dont like the overall look, but that st.michaels facade really is top level of detail and product. It has come out really well. Compared to the hotel at the north stand, it is night and day unfortunately.
Hodder designed. They tend to go for looks something a bit less ordinary.

Tbf over 80% of it looks as ordinary as anything by your pals at simpson haugh. The only interesting bit is what will make the photos. But my comment was more on the quality of it, the build in particular.

For the record I am not as against that whole (SH big sleek rectangle) look as you and some are. Not my cup of tea as such, but I accept it, particularly if delivered well.

Evening, I just think a bit of variety will make the skyline more interesting that's all. I appreciate the quality tho.

In the last picture, 4 towers are currently under construction, Staycity, Fusion, 2x Contour. 10 more towers either have planning permission or are proposed, including Manchester’s tallest tower, Viadux 2.

Happy Christmas. :-)

More cloudy and ‘clear blue’ skies. ;-)

These are amazing. Where is the exact location it's taken from?

One of those lovely days high on Saddleworth Moors that remind you why you love living in the area, means you can look down on Manchester from afar while enjoying the local view too.

Great to see such an iconic building being brought back to life. Another Domis scheme.

The developer’s vision for a 44-storey residential building at 2-4 Whitworth Street West has taken a step closer to reality after the submission of a planning application to Manchester City Council.

Unveiled last year, the 170-metre-tall skyscraper – which would provide 364 apartments – would sit opposite Deansgate tram station and east of the railway station.

Westcombe Group’s application seeks approval to demolish an existing office and build a 12-storey hotel and a four-storey aparthotel.

The 171-bed hotel would sit off Chester Road, between Manchester United’s Old Trafford and Old Trafford Cricket Ground, and would be accompanied by a 61-flat aparthotel under the ‘Novotel Living’ brand.

A 228-home scheme designed by Tim Groom Architects is planned for the long-vacant Great Stone Road plot.

Liverpool-based developer Brickland is working with landowner Blythe Ventures to bring the scheme forward following the demolition of the plot’s former B&Q store in 2023.
