Its a very important issue one thagt could decide our future for the next few years

I am sure that you will have us all reaching for the Prozac whatever happens.

While Pellegrini would not be the first name on my wish list,as he is going to Chelski,he is certainly a manager with ability and, also, attributes Mancini doesn't have.

In particular his calming influence and man management skills and subsequent ability to get the most out of his teams. His football also looks more attractive, varied and entertaining than that which Mancini plays.
He certainly couldn't do any worse when it comes to squad balance and options.

Obviously his CV is a worry for some, however, for the majority of his career he hasn't been afforded the resources to play with the big boys and compete on a level field.
The fact he achieved the semi finals of the Champs league with,on paper,a far inferior team speaks volumes about his tactical abilities for me.

I'd be happy to see him given an opportunity because i feel Mancini has had his and come up short,i also feel he has gone a bit stale and lost some of the early magic.

I genuinely believe we need a change,i think many fans are blinded by emotion where Mancini is concerned,so if this guy is the choice of the powers that be then i fully support the appointment.

He is 100 percent going to be our next manager and I have been saying it for months on here.

Personally I don't know one City fan outside the realms of tinternet bollocks that thinks Mancini should go or even brought the subject up...can't believe the amount of pages that has been dedicated to this shite

So sensible, hardly anyone on here will believe you though.

This.

Yes Mancini has flaws, every manager does. The sooner people stop playing football manager and worrying what the media say and what other fans say to wind up city fans the better.

Sacking Mancini could turn out to be a huge mistake or a great footballing decision. Thankfully I don't make the decision but I fear it will be the former.

Whereas Pellegrini has a glowing CV.
You have utterly avoided addressing Danny's post by stating the bleeding obvious.
So how is Pellegrini an upgrade on Mancini, exactly?
after 40+ pages of assumptions/opinions or bullshit as it is known, i'm looking forward to seeing Nips answer to this...........no opinions though Nip, only facts please.
I've already stated he isn't an upgrade. He is imo a better fit for us though but that's opinion. In facts you base on C.V and Mancini excels in that department.

He is not an upgrade but he is a better fit ?????

Fuck it, lets downgrade our manager then.

Congratulations on being the first 'outer' to admit wanting Pellegrini instead of Mancini, baffling as it may be to the rest of us.
I should imagine even the other 'outers' disagree with you, but fair play for being honest.

It's said PSG will push hard for Pellegrini if Ancelotti goes to Real Madrid, but I think Txiki would convince him to come here (if we're after him) and the recent meetings probably saw to that.

The trophy arguments are a bit boring when you don't consider context. Of course Pellegrini may fail if appointed but you have to have faith in the same men who, I repeat, appointed two less proven coaches to an even bigger job than our own - two men who went on to win FIFA/UEFA Coach of the Year awards, La Liga, and the Champions League. These will know every aspect of Pellegrini's management and personality, and his suitability to the City job.

Pellegrini's appointment, were it to happen, could in fact turn out to be similar to Wenger's at Arsenal. Wenger (like Guardiola and Rijkaard) had a very modest background and just hadn't been given the resources and platform to excel. Pellegrini is very highly regarded in Spain and in fact I was reading some comments at Marca the other day with Real Madrid fans saying it was a mistake to sack him for Mourinho.

Pellegrini's man management skills have been described as "exceptional" which is probably linked to his ability to get the maximum out of his players. He is humble, intelligent, and not confrontational which is important in the Director of Football model. Tactically he likes his teams to be mobile and use fast combinations which is good against parked buses.

Some Pellegrini quotes:

"Whoever devotes 24 hours a day to football is a bad coach. Football is a combination of personality, taste, demands, leadership... Leadership is learned by reading, seeing and living. If football is all I know, then I know nothing."

"My philosophy is related to having good technical players. A player must be steadfast in one part of the pitch in order to close open spaces run relays, crosses, come out of his own side of the pitch... and you have to let him invent in the last 25 meters. I tell players, "Let's manage ten set-pieces. We won't be successful eight of the ten times, but we will win the match with the other two." Creative football is hard if you aren't able to combine with others or be comfortable touching the ball. If a coach gets upset the first time a player makes a mistake in the final meters, the player will do things practically, but not make a difference. Making mistakes while trying new things is better than plain football."
