While Pellegrini would not be the first name on my wish list,as he is going to Chelski,he is certainly a manager with ability and, also, attributes Mancini doesn't have.

In particular his calming influence and man management skills and subsequent ability to get the most out of his teams. His football also looks more attractive, varied and entertaining than that which Mancini plays.
He certainly couldn't do any worse when it comes to squad balance and options.

Obviously his CV is a worry for some, however, for the majority of his career he hasn't been afforded the resources to play with the big boys and compete on a level field.
The fact he achieved the semi finals of the Champs league with,on paper,a far inferior team speaks volumes about his tactical abilities for me.

I'd be happy to see him given an opportunity because i feel Mancini has had his and come up short,i also feel he has gone a bit stale and lost some of the early magic.

I genuinely believe we need a change,i think many fans are blinded by emotion where Mancini is concerned,so if this guy is the choice of the powers that be then i fully support the appointment.

Congratulations on being the first 'outer' to admit wanting Pellegrini instead of Mancini, baffling as it may be to the rest of us.
I should imagine even the other 'outers' disagree with you, but fair play for being honest.
"his CV is a worry for some" is a bit of an understatement. Perhaps we can be reminded of some of his major triumphs - cups and leagues won as he approaches his 60th year?

I will say it again I can't remember too many fans on here after the 13th May last year who did not want Mancini at our club. He then signs a five year contract and again almost to a man and woman on here there is a huge sigh of relief. So what has gone wrong in the last 12 months to change our belief in the manager, wins Charity Shield, qualifies again for CL, looks like we will finish second with a good chance of winning FA cup. The only downside was the European adventure and I would like to know which teams from the premier league could have gotten out of that group. IMO not the time to get rid he deserves at least one more year to see if progress can be made. If our owner decides otherwise then all I hope for is that the manger who replaces Mancini is better qualified and will take us to a level Mancini can't, just as Mancini took us to a higher level than Mark Hughes could never have taken us.

after 40+ pages of assumptions/opinions or bullshit as it is known, i'm looking forward to seeing Nips answer to this...........no opinions though Nip, only facts please.
I've already stated he isn't an upgrade. He is imo a better fit for us though but that's opinion. In facts you base on C.V and Mancini excels in that department.

He is not an upgrade but he is a better fit ?????

Fuck it, lets downgrade our manager then.

He's a better fit as in he will imo get us playing more attacking football and he won't alienate players like Mancini does.

How did Malaga get on after selling players in the summer again? What does Mancini blame for our poorer than expected season? There you go. Mancini the spoilt manager with his hand out expecting ffp busting investment year after year.

These points have been made fuck knows how many times. This isn't a Mancini thread, its a Pellegrini thread!

Personally I don't know one City fan outside the realms of tinternet bollocks that thinks Mancini should go or even brought the subject up...can't believe the amount of pages that has been dedicated to this shite

I can live with half a dozen outers out of our fanbase wanting him gone.

I would personally feel quite angry if Roberto was sacked, I think he has achieved a hell of a lot for us, he is not perfect however if he decides to call it a day that's his choice and I will respect him for it.

As for Pellegrini, if he was appointed he would get my full support, I don't know much about him, but then again I don't make a living from football, if he is the owners choice so be it.

I certainley don't like to see City fans tearing strips off each other over it, it's a bit unedifying
